Attachment Manager ใน Windows 11/10/8/7 เป็น Service ที่ทำงานเมื่อรับ Email มี Attachment หรือ Save ไฟล์จาก Internet ที่ไม่ปลอดภัย Outlook Express, Windows Messenger, Internet Explorer ใช้ Attachment Manager จัดการ Attachments และ Downloads
Attachment Manager ใน Windows 11/10
Attachment Manager ป้องกัน Unsafe Attachments/Downloads โดยระบุ File Type และ Security Settings หากพบไฟล์อาจไม่ปลอดภัย จะ Block การเปิด หรือ Warn ก่อนเปิด
ใช้ IAttachmentExecute API หา File Type และ File Association เมื่อ App บันทึกไฟล์ลง Disk NTFS จะ Update Metadata พร้อม Zone ที่ดาวน์โหลดมา เก็บเป็น Alternate Data Stream (ADS) ถ้าต้องการ Unblock ไฟล์ที่ดาวน์โหลด: คลิกขวา > Properties > Unblock
ตรวจสอบ 3 อย่าง:
- โปรแกรมที่ใช้งาน
- File Type ที่ดาวน์โหลด/พยายามเปิด
- Security Settings ของ Web Content Zone ที่ดาวน์โหลดมา
จัดประเภทไฟล์ 3 ระดับ:
- High Risk – Block ไฟล์จาก Restricted Zone แจ้ง: Windows Security Warning: Windows found that this file is potentially harmful...
- Moderate Risk – Warn: The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?
- Low Risk – เปิดไฟล์โดยไม่มีข้อความ
Attachment Manager ติดป้าย Low Risk ให้ไฟล์ต่อไปเฉพาะเปิดด้วย Notepad: .log, .text, .txt หากเชื่อมโยงโปรแกรมอื่น ไม่ถือว่า Low Risk อีกต่อไป ยังติดป้าย Low Risk ให้ไฟล์ภาพเฉพาะเปิดด้วย Windows Picture and Fax Viewer: .bmp, .dib, .emf, .gif, .ico, .jfif, .jpg, .jpe, .jpeg, .png, .tif, .tiff, .wmf
พยายามดาวน์โหลด/เปิดไฟล์จาก Restricted Zone อาจเจอข้อความ Block พยายามเปิด High-Risk File Types จาก Internet Zone อาจได้ Warning แต่เปิดบางไฟล์ได้
File Types ที่ไม่ได้ติดป้าย High/Low Risk จะถูกติดป้าย Medium Risk อัตโนมัติ
ปิด Unblocking Feature ของ Attachment Manager
ไม่ควรทำ แต่หากต้องการปิด: Group Policy > User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Attachment Manager
Unblock ไฟล์ที่ดาวน์โหลดอัตโนมัติ
Double-click Do not preserve zone information in file attachments Enable Setting ถ้า Enable: Windows ไม่ Mark Zone Information บนไฟล์ Attachments
Policy นี้จัดการว่า Windows จะ Mark ไฟล์ Attachments ด้วย Zone Of Origin (Restricted, Internet, Intranet, Local) หรือไม่ ต้องการ NTFS ถ้า FAT32 จะ Fail โดยไม่แจ้งเตือน โดยไม่ Preserve Zone Info Windows ไม่สามารถ Risk Assessment ได้ถูกต้อง
Enable = Windows ไม่ Mark Zone Info, Disable/Not Configure = Windows Mark Zone Info
ทางเลือก: เปิด Registry Editor ไปที่:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Attachments
เปลี่ยนค่า SaveZoneInformation จาก Default 2 เป็น 1
