Default Search Mode (Classic) ข้ามบาง Locations ใน PC/Drives ค้นหาเร็วกว่า Enhanced Search แต่ Range จำกัด
สิ่งที่ควรรู้ก่อนเปิด Enhanced Search Mode ใน Windows 10
มีจุดสังเกตบางอย่าง: หากใช้ Laptop ต้อง ต่อชาร์จ เพื่อเริ่ม Initial Crawl และ Indexing ข้อมูล เพราะกระบวนการอาจนาน และตอน Setup เริ่มต้น Windows ใช้ Power มาก (CPU Intense)
ยังใช้ PC ได้ขณะ Indexing ทำงาน Background แต่ทำได้ช้าลง แนะนำทำตอนว่าง หรือไม่ได้ใช้ PC สักพัก
วิธีเปิด Enhanced Search Mode ใน Windows 10
วิธีเปิด Enhanced Search Mode เพื่อหาทุกอย่างบน PC:
- เปิด Settings App: กด Windows Key หรือคลิก Start Menu
- จาก Start Menu คลิก Settings หรือ PC Settings หรือกด Win + I ไป Account Settings
- คลิก Search
- ไปหน้า Permissions and History Default: Windows Search ค้นหา Web, Apps, Settings, Files ให้ผลลัพธ์เกี่ยวข้อง เปลี่ยนเพื่อ Accuracy/Speed: คลิก Searching Windows แผงซ้าย
ใต้ Indexing Status: จำนวน Indexed Items และ Pending Items ใต้เป็น Find My Files Settings Default = Classic (ค้นหา Libraries, Desktop, Custom Locations) เลือก Enhanced เพื่อเปิด Enhanced Searching
ยินดีด้วย! เปิด Enhanced Search Mode เรียบร้อย PC จะเริ่ม Index ไฟล์, โฟลเดอร์, ไดรฟ์ ทั้งระบบ
จัดการ Enhanced Search Mode ใน Windows 10
จัดการ Enhanced Search Settings ได้: เพิ่มโฟลเดอร์ใน Excluded Folders Enhanced Search จะข้ามไฟล์ในโฟลเดอร์ Blacklist ยกเลิกได้โดยลบออกจาก Excluded Folders
จาก Settings: เปลี่ยน Indexer Performance และเปิด Advanced Search Indexer Settings ปรับปรุงการ Crawl/Index
เพิ่ม Excluded Folders ใน Enhanced Search
Default: Enhanced Search ข้าม/Exclude บางโฟลเดอร์/Locations เพื่อ Indexing เร็ว และจัดการ Power/Resources
แต่แก้ไข Excluded Folders ได้ตลอด: Win + I > Search > Searching Windows แผงขวา เลื่อนลง Excluded Folders คลิก Plus Sign หรือ Add an excluded folder
เลือกโฟลเดอร์ > Select Folder โฟลเดอร์จะเพิ่มเข้า Excluded ทันที Indexing เร็วขึ้น ค้นหาเร็วขึ้น ใช้ Power/Resources น้อยลง แต่อาจหาไม่เจอถ้าไฟล์อยู่ใน Excluded Folders
ลบ Excluded Folders ใน Enhanced Search Mode
ถ้าตัดสินใจลบโฟลเดอร์ออกจาก Excluded: Win + I > Search > Searching Windows เลื่อนลง Excluded Folders Section คลิกโฟลเดอร์ที่ต้องการลบ > กด Remove excluded folder
โฟลเดอร์ถูกลบทันที การลบจะทำ Indexing ช้าลง ใช้ Power/Resources มากขึ้น แต่ Search จะ Accurate ขึ้น

อยากให้ Enhanced Search เคารพ Power Settings ปัจจุบันขณะ Indexing: กด Toggle Indexer Performance
ปิดได้ตลอดเวลา หากเลือก
Advanced Search Indexer Settings
ใช้ Advanced Search Indexer Settings ปรับ Fine-tune ว่า Windows จะ Search ที่ไหน/อย่างไร: คลิก Advanced Search Indexer Settings
เลือก Location จากตัวเลือกที่มี เพื่อ Index กด Close เมื่อ Indexing เสร็จ
