ทำไม Network Security Key และรหัสผ่านจึงต่างกัน

Network Security Key และ Password คือสิ่งเดียวกันหรือไม่?

ใช่ หมายถึงสิ่งเดียวกันทั้งหมด ในบริบทของ Wi-Fi/Wireless Network:

  • Network Security Key = Wi-Fi Password = Wireless Password = Wireless Network Password = Passphrase = WPA Key = WPA2 Key = WEP Key = Security Code
  • เป็นรหัสผ่านที่ใช้ ยืนยันตัวตน (Authenticate) และ เข้ารหัส (Encrypt) การสื่อสารระหว่างอุปกรณ์กับ Access Point/Router

ทำไมจึงมีหลายชื่อเรียก

  • มุมมองทางเทคนิค (IEEE 802.11i / WPA/WPA2/WPA3): เรียกว่า Pre-Shared Key (PSK) หรือ Passphrase (สำหรับ Personal Mode)
  • มุมมองผู้ใช้ / OS: Windows เรียกว่า Network Security Key, macOS เรียกว่า Wi-Fi Password, Android/iOS เรียกว่า Hotspot Password
  • มุมมองอุปกรณ์เราเตอร์: เรียกว่า Wireless Key, Wireless Password, WPA Passphrase, Network Key

Network Security Key ไม่ใช่อะไร

  • Admin Password: รหัสผ่านเข้าหน้าตั้งค่าเราเตอร์ (192.168.x.x) - ต่างจาก Wi-Fi Password
  • WPS PIN: รหัส 8 หลักสำหรับ Wi-Fi Protected Setup - ต่างจาก PSK
  • ISP Account Password: รหัสผ่านบัญชีอินเทอร์เน็ต (PPPoE) - ต่างจาก Wi-Fi Password
  • Device PIN/Password: รหัสปลดล็อกโทรศัพท์/คอมพิวเตอร์ - ไม่เกี่ยวข้อง

หา Network Security Key / Wi-Fi Password

  1. สติ๊กเกอร์เราเตอร์/โมเด็ม: ด้านหลัง/ด้านล่าง (Default Key)
  2. Windows (เชื่อมต่ออยู่): Network Connections > Network and Sharing Center > Wi-Fi Name > Wireless Properties > Security > Show characters
  3. Command Line (Admin): netsh wlan show profiles name="SSID" key=clear (ดู Key Content)
  4. Router Admin Page: Wireless Settings > Security > Passphrase/Key
  5. Android (Root): /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf

เปลี่ยน Network Security Key

  1. เข้าหน้าตั้งค่าเราเตอร์ (192.168.1.1, 192.168.0.1, 10.0.0.1)
  2. Wireless > Security > WPA2-PSK (AES) / WPA3-Personal
  3. ใส่ Passphrase ใหม่ > Save/Apply > Reconnect อุปกรณ์ทั้งหมด

ทำไม Wi-Fi ถาม "Network Security Key" แทน "Password"

Windows ใช้คำศัพท์ทางเทคนิคมาตรฐาน (IEEE 802.11 Security) เรียกว่า "Network Security Key" เพื่อแยกจาก "Password" อื่นๆ (Admin, User Account) แต่ในทางปฏิบัติ คือรหัสผ่าน Wi-Fi เดียวกัน

สรุป: Network Security Key และ Wi-Fi Password คือสิ่งเดียวกัน แค่ชื่อเรียกต่างกันตามบริบท/ระบบปฏิบัติการ หาก "ต่างกัน" อาจเป็นเพราะสับสนกับ Admin Password, WPS PIN หรือ ISP Password
