หากกำหนดค่า Windows ให้ login ด้วย smart card เท่านั้น และต้อง troubleshoot Smart Card logon problems ที่ผู้ใช้เผชิญ ต้องเปลี่ยนการตั้งค่านี้ อนุญาต Password Logon เพื่อเข้าไป troubleshoot ได้ Smart Cards เป็นวิธีพกพา ปลอดภัย และ tamper-proof ให้โซลูชันความปลอดภัย เช่น client authentication, logon to domains, code signing, secure e-mail สามารถใช้ smart cards logon เข้า Windows 10/8/7 ได้
ในบางสถานการณ์ หลังติดตั้งหรือ upgrade เป็น Windows 7 หรือ 8 Smart Card Plug and Play detection อาจไม่ทำงานตามคาด ผู้ใช้หรือ local admin อาจต้องหาและแก้ปัญหาที่ป้องกัน Smart Card Plug and Play detection ใน Windows ทำงานได้ถูกต้อง ในเงื่อนไขนี้ ต้องอนุญาต password logins ด้วย โดยปิดการตั้งค่าที่บังคับ Smart Card logon ใน tutorial นี้ จะแสดงวิธีทำ
เปลี่ยน Smart Card Logon เป็น Password Logon
1. ล็อกอิน Windows ใน Safe mode ทำได้โดยกด F8 ขณะบูท
2. จากตัวเลือก เลือก Safe mode with networking กด Enter แล้วล็อกอินด้วย administrative credentials
3. กด Windows Key + R พิมพ์ Regedt32.exe ใน Run dialog กด Enter เปิด Registry Editor
4. ไปที่ key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
5. ในบานหน้าต่างขวา จะพบ DWORD ชื่อ scforceoption
เนื่องจากคอมพิวเตอร์อนุญาต Smart Card logon เท่านั้น DWORD แสดง Value data เท่ากับ 1
เปลี่ยนเป็น 0 แทน 1 คลิก OK การทำนี้ กำหนดคอมพิวเตอร์ให้อนุญาต password login
รีสตาร์ทคอมพิวเตอร์ และล็อกอินด้วยรหัสผ่าน
โปรดทราบ การตั้งค่านี้จะ reset กลับเป็นค่าเริ่มต้น Value '1' หลัง 90 นาที เมื่อ Group Policy refresh ถัดไป ดังนั้นคุณมีช่วง 90 นาทีในการ troubleshoot smart card problem หลังช่วงนั้น คุณหรือผู้ใช้จะ login ด้วย password ไม่ได้ ต้องใช้ smart cards นี่คือมาตรการความปลอดภัยเพื่อให้แน่ใจว่าผู้ใช้ใช้ smart cards เท่านั้น
