หลังใช้ Windows เป็น Primary OS ประมาณ 30 ปี ผมตระหนักยากว่าต้อง Wean myself off มันให้หมดภายในเร็วๆ นี้ ไม่ใช่ Trivial decision และ Outcome ไม่เกิด overnight จริงๆ ผมไม่คาดหวัง Plan จะ Fully realized จนถึง 2025-2026 เมื่อ Windows 10 EOL แต่ต้อง Start ที่ไหนสักที่

Prompt มาจากข่าวว่า Windows 11 Pro จะ (Most likely) ต้องการ Online account เพื่อ Complete installation process แม้จะไม่เกิดหรือถูก Retract עצם Notion ของ Classic desktop formula ถูก Mangle สาหัสเพื่อ Serve Cloud-mobile greed model ทำให้ผมโกรธ ผมมี Zero intention ใช้ PC เหมือน Smartphone chimp นอกเหนือจาก Technical inadequacies ของ Windows 11 เอง และภายหลอน An even more pointless idea of "Desktop as a service" โผล่ใหญ่ Nah ไม่เล่นเกมส์愚蠢นั้น และผมเริ่ม Migration journey ช้าๆ

The plan thickens

Native, WINE หรือ Alternative?

ในท้ายที่สุด Windows-Linux discrepancy Boils down to just Two things: Office และ Games แต่มี Gray area เยอะระหว่างนั้น ทำให้ผมต้อง Invest time และ Energy ปีข้างหน้า Make everything dandy
