Windows File Explorer เป็นฟีเจอร์ที่ underrated ที่สุดของ Windows 10 ในรูปแบบดิบ file manager อยู่มาตั้งแต่ Windows 3.0 อาจดูเหมือน Windows relic แต่ผ่านหลาย iterations และผู้ใช้น้อยมากที่รู้จัก potential เต็มที่
มาแสดงวิจจัดการและควบคุม Windows 10 File Explorer จากพื้นฐาน และเปิดเผยฟีเจอร์ที่คุณไม่เคยรู้ว่ามีอยู่
1. File Explorer Keyboard Shortcuts
ถ้ารู้แค่ 2 keyboard shortcuts สำหรับ Windows File Explorer คุณจะนำหน้าคนอื่นไปไกล
แรก Windows key + E เปิด File Explorer และเปิด window ที่ 2 หรือ 3 ได้โดยกด shortcut อีกครั้ง — จดจำไว้ตอนอยากย้ายไฟล์ระหว่างโฟลเดอร์ คุณสามารถ dock File Explorer windows ที่เพิ่งเปิดได้ทันทีด้วย Windows key + left / right / up / down arrow keys
ที่สอง ALT Windows 10 File Explorer menu จัดระเบียบแบบ Ribbon interface เหมือน Microsoft Office และ internal keyboard shortcuts ทำงานเหมือนกัน คลิก ALT key เพื่อแสดง shortcut options เช่น F เปิด File menu H ไป Home menu และตัวเลขหมายถึง shortcuts ใน Quick Access Toolbar
กด ALT ตามด้วย F จะเปิด File menu พร้อม keyboard shortcuts ทั้งหมด highlighted เช่น N สำหรับ Open new window หรือ W ขยาย new window options ทำงานกับ menus อื่นๆ ได้ หมายความว่าไม่ต้องจด shortcuts ล่วงหน้า เรียนรู้ขณะใช้ได้ แค่จำว่า กด ALT ตอนอยู่ใน File Explorer
Note: ผ่าน File menu สามารถใช้ Open new window in new process สร้าง explorer.exe process ใหม่ทั้งหมด หมายถึงถ้า process หนึ่ง crash อื่นๆ ไม่ได้รับผลกระทบ
2. Optimize File Explorer Menus
เหมือนที่กล่าว Windows 10 File Explorer Ribbon เลียนแบบ Microsoft Office เพื่อ Minimize the Ribbon permanently right-click พื้นที่ว่างใน menu ติ๊กหรือยกเลิก option นั้น
ถ้าเลือก minimize Ribbon จะโผล่ขึ้นมาเฉพาะตอน click หรือใช้ keyboard shortcut เปิด menu
3. Add Items to the Quick Access Toolbar
Quick Access Toolbar คือแถบไอคอนมุมซ้ายบนของทุก File Explorer window ให้ Show up below the Ribbon คลิก arrow icon ขวา เลือก option นั้น
คุณเพิ่ม option ใดๆ จาก Ribbon interface เข้า toolbar สำหรับ quick access ไม่ได้แค่วางไว้ที่สะดวก จะได้ quick access keyboard shortcut ด้วย Right-click item เลือก Add to Quick Access Toolbar (QAT)
Tip: บางโฟลเดอร์มี advanced options ใน Manage menu เช่น Dropbox, attached drives, Recycle Bin หมายความว่าสามารถเพิ่ม folder-specific operation เช่น Empty Recycle Bin เข้า QAT ได้
4. Change the Folder Layout
แต่ละโฟลเดอร์ตั้งค่า custom layout ได้ คือ เปลี่ยนการแสดงไฟล์ในโฟลเดอร์ เลือก extra large, large, medium, small icons หรือ list พร้อม/ไม่พร้อม details จาก View menu
เพิ่ม panes ต่างๆ ได้ เช่น Navigation pane เพิ่ม 显示 selected folder contents Preview pane สะดวกสำหรับ mixed file folders ที่มี images Details pane แสดง size, dimensions, วันที่สร้าง/แก้ไข
Under Current view (ยังใน View tab) ปรับการจัดระเบียบไฟล์ได้ เช่น Sort by Size, Group by Type, Add columns ถ้า list แสดง details settings ทั้งหมด save สำหรับ current folder
Tip: ถ้าจะ sort โฟลเดอร์ด้วย columns สามารถ sort multi-tier: sort ด้วย column หนึ่ง แล้ว ged SHIFT ระหว่าง sort column ที่สอง
5. Show & Hide Files
ยังใน View menu แสดง/ซ่อน File name extensions และ Hidden items ได้รวดเร็ว File Explorer ยังมี quick way Hide selected items
เพราะ show option อยู่ข้างๆ มันจึงไม่ใช่วิธีฉลาดซ่อนไฟล์จริง เราแนะนำ techniques อื่นๆ สำหรับซ่อนไฟล์อย่างน่าเชื่อถือบน Windows
6. Change the Folder File Explorer Opens To
ใน Ribbon interface ไป File > Change folder and search options Folder Options menu จะเปิด ใน General tab ตั้ง desired folder ภายใต้ Open File Explorer to เลือกได้แค่ Quick Access หรือ This PC คลิก Apply อยู่ใน menu นี้สำหรับ settings ต่อไป
7. Remove Recently Used Files and Folders from Quick Access
Under View > Options > General > Privacy ยกเลิกติ๊ก Show recently used files / folders in Quick access กด Clear เพื่อ Clear File Explorer history และลบ existing listings
8. Apply Custom Settings to Folders or Restore Defaults
ไป View > Options > View เข้าถึง Advanced settings เพิ่มเติม ผมชอบ Display the full path in the title bar, Show hidden files, folders, or drives, Restore previous folder windows at logon สามารถปิด default setting Hide extensions for known file types หรือ Launch folder windows in a separate process
สำคัญกว่า สามารถ Apply custom settings ทั้งหมดไปยัง all folders "of this type" สร้าง style ใหม่สำหรับ folder type นั้น
ตั้ง folder type ให้ถูกต้องก่อน apply new style right-click folder เลือก Properties ไป Customize tab จาก drop-down under Optimize this folder for เลือก type ที่เหมาะสม
ถ้าสูดสะดุด สามารถ Reset Folders หรือ Restore Defaults ภายใต้ Folder Options ข้างต้น
9. Customize Quick Access & Jump Files
Quick access คือรายการโฟลเดอร์ที่เปิดบ่อย ใน File Explorer sidebar Quick access แทนที่ Favorites ใน File Explorer โดย default แค่ list โฟลเดอร์ที่เข้าถึงบ่อย เพิ่ม custom folder right-click เลือก Pin to Quick access ลบ entry right-click folder เลือก Remove from Quick access
แสดงข้างต้นวิธี clear และ disable recent files list ถ้าทำนั้น Quick access จะทำงานเหมือน Favorites list ใน Windows versions ก่อนหน้า
Jump Files คือ shortcuts ที่เห็นตอน right-click item ใน Taskbar สามารถ pin most visited items ได้ แตใน Windows 10 ถ้าคุณ clear recent files File Explorer Jump List ดูเหมือน identical กับ Quick access ยัง right-click item เลือก Unpin from this list ลบได้
10. Share Files Straight From File Explorer
Context menu ใน Windows File Explorer มี Send to และ Share with options มานาน แต่คุณใช้บ่อยไหม? นอกจากส่ง shortcuts ไป desktop options เหล่านี้ไม่ค่อย useful เพราะคุณไม่เคย customize
กด Windows key + R เปิด Run menu พิมพ์ shell:sendto Enter เปิด folder ที่เก็บ shortcuts ที่โผล่ใน Send to menu เพิ่ม/ลบ shortcuts ตามใจชอบ เพลิดเพลินกับ share options ใหม่
เพิ่มเติม reveal hidden Send to entries ได้ถ้า ged SHIFT ก่อน select และ right-click target file ไป Send to option screenshot ด้านล่าง highlight แค่บางส่วนของ additional options
ใน Windows 10 File Explorer มี Share menu ใหม่ที่มี options useful มากขึ้น
ก่อนใช้ ต้อง setup apps เพื่อ share เช่น Share option ทำงานกับ Windows Store apps เท่านั้น เช่น Facebook, OneNote, Twitter และ Email option ต้อง setup default desktop email client ผ่าน Settings (Windows key + I) > System > Default apps
