วันนี้เราเจอปัญหาที่วิศวกรสนับสนุน Tier-1 ใช้เวลาเกือบ 4 ชั่วโมงพยายามกำจัดไอคอน RealPlayer Cloud ซึ่งเป็นไอคอนโฟลเดอร์ระบบที่แสดงใน My Computer ใต้รายการ Others ใต้ไอคอนฮาร์ดดิสก์ มันดูเหมือนไอคอนที่อยู่ภายใต้ Other ในภาพด้านล่าง แต่คุณไม่หาวิธีลบง่ายๆ ได้ ไอคอน RealPlayer Cloud เป็นไอคอนดุ้นๆ ที่คุณกำจัดไม่ได้ง่าย
ปัญหานี้เกิดขึ้นหลังจากลูกค้าผู้หนึ่ง uninstall RealPlayer Cloud จากคอมพิวเตอร์ เขาไม่รู้ว่าจะไม่ได้กำจัด RealPlayer สนิท หลัง uninstall เขาไปที่ Computer และเจอโฟลเดอร์ระบบ RealPlayer Cloud เขาพยายามลบ ตรวจสอบ Add/Remove Programs (Programs and Features) เลื่อนรายการแต่ไม่เจอ RealPlayer ตรวจสอบ Control Panel หาไอคอน RealPlayer Cloud เพื่อ uninstall แต่ไม่เจอ ตรวจสอบ startup items โดย Run -> พิมพ์ "Msconfig" ใน System Configuration Utility คลิก Startup ยกติ๊กทุกอย่างที่เกี่ยวกับ RealPlayer Cloud หลังทำทั้งหมดเขา Google ปัญหานี้ และเจอฟอรัมสนับสนุน RealPlayer ลองทุกขั้นตอนแต่ปัญหายังคงอยู่
หลัง uninstall เขาถูกแนะนำให้ทำดังนี้

ลบโฟลเดอร์ RealPlayer ที่อยู่ที่:

ดังนั้นเพื่อลบไอคอน RealPlayer Cloud จากโฟลเดอร์ My Computer ผมควรลบไฟล์และโฟลเดอร์เหล่านี้ด้วย แต่ผมไม่ได้จัดการไฟล์เหล่านั้น
ไปที่ C:\ drive และเปิดโฟลเดอร์ "Documents and Settings" แล้วไปที่โฟลเดอร์ username ของ Windows คลิกโฟลเดอร์ "Application Data" แล้วหาโฟลเดอร์ "Real" และลบมัน สำหรับ Windows 7 ไปที่ c:\users\UserName\AppData และลบโฟลเดอร์ชื่อ Real จากนั้น
ผมเริ่มค้นหาและเจอบทความดีๆ เกี่ยวกับการลบ Namespace key contents จาก registry Key นี้แสดงโฟลเดอร์ที่เป็นปริศนาหลายตัวซึ่งกำหนดไอคอนที่แสดงใน My Computer ใน Windows Explorer ดังนั้นลบ subkeys ทั้งหมดที่อยู่ภายใต้ NameSpace key วิธีลบ:
ขั้นตอนลบ NameSpace Key contents
1). คลิก Start ไป Run พิมพ์ Regedit กด OK
2). ไปที่ key ต่อไปนี้ "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace"
3). ผมลบ key ทั้งหมดภายใต้ NameSpace และรีบูทคอมพิวเตอร์ แต่ยังเห็นไอคอน RealPlayer Cloud ใน My Computer ใน Windows Explorer
ผมค้นฟอรัมและเจอขอโทษจากทีมสนับสนุน RealNetwork ว่าเสียใจและกำลังค้นหาวิธีแก้
4. ผมจึงเปิด registry และเริ่มหา key ด้วยคีย์เวิร์ด Real Player, Cloud และ Real network และลบ key ทั้งหมดที่เกี่ยวกับ RealPlayer หรือ RealPlayer Cloud หรือ Real Network และได้ผล 80% ไอคอน RealPlayer Cloud ไม่โชว์แล้ว แต่ยังมีไอคอนสีขาวอ่อนที่อ่านว่า System Folder ใน My Computer ใน Windows Explorer
ตอนนี้ความคิดสว่างสว่างในใจว่า ทำไมไม่ลอง clean registry สำหรับไฟล์เหลือทิ้ง ผมเปิด CCleaner คลิก Registry ด้านซ้าย เลือกทุกไอเท็มสแกน สแกน registry ด้วย CCleaner ตาม Pic-13(e) และมันแก้ปัญหา registry ทั้งหมด Bingo….!!!
ไอคอน RealPlayer Cloud หายไป… ผมรีสตาร์ทคอมพิวเตอร์ และมันทำงานได้ปกติ ตอนนี้ผมเสียใจที่ใช้เวลามากเกินไปในการลบไอคอน RealPlayer Cloud ในขณะที่แค่สแกน registry ด้วย CCleaner และแก้ไขปัญหาทั้งหมดภายใน 5 นาที 결론: เพื่อลบ RealPlayer Cloud icon จาก computer ให้ลบ namespace และ delegated folder entry จาก registry ตามขั้นตอนด้านบน แล้วลบจากที่อื่นใน registry และ clean leftover registry items ด้วย registry fix option ของ CCleaner ขอบคุณที่อ่าน…
