- -o /tmp/Mojave: ระบุ Output file location และชื่อ Disk image กรณีนี้ สร้าง file ชื่อ Mojave ใน /tmp directory
- -size 8500m: ตั้งขนาด Disk image เป็น 8500 Megabytes
- -volname Mojave: ตั้ง Volume name ของ Disk image เป็น "Mojave"
- -layout SPUD: ระบุ Partition layout SPUD เป็น Layout พופุลาร์สำหรับ Single partition
- -fs HFS+J: ตั้ง File system ของ Disk image เป็น HFS+ with journaling enabled
2️⃣ Mount Disk image:
hdiutil attach /tmp/Mojave.dmg -noverify -mountpoint /Volumes/Mojave
- hdiutil attach: คำสั่ง Mount Disk image
- /tmp/Mojave.dmg: Path ของ Disk image ที่ต้องการ Mount
- -noverify: Option ข้าม Verification ของ Disk image เพื่อ Mount เร็วขึ้น
- -mountpoint /Volumes/Mojave: ระบุ Directory ที่ Disk image จะ Mount กรณีนี้ /Volumes/Mojave
3️⃣ สร้าง macOS Mojave Bootable Installer:
sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Mojave.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Mojave --nointeraction
เมื่อ Terminal ขอ Password พิมพ์ Login password กด Enter หมายเหตุ Password จะไม่ Echo บนหน้าจอ
- sudo: รันคำสั่งด้วย Superuser (Administrator) privileges จำเป็นสำหรับ Bootable installer
- /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Mojave.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia: Path ของ Createinstallmedia utility ภายใน macOS Mojave Installer application
- --volume /Volumes/Mojave: ระบุ Target volume สำหรับสร้าง Bootable installer กรณีนี้ /Volumes/Mojave
- --nointeraction: Option ให้ Process รันโดยไม่มี Prompt เหมาะสำหรับ Automated execution
4️⃣ Unmount macOS Mojave Bootable volume:
hdiutil detach /volumes/Install\ macOS\ Mojave
5️⃣ Convert Mojave.dmg file เป็น Mojave.cdr:
hdiutil convert /tmp/Mojave.dmg -format UDTO -o ~/Desktop/Mojave.cdr
- hdiutil convert: คำสั่ง Convert Disk image จาก Format หนึ่งไปอีก Format
- /tmp/Mojave.dmg: Path ของ Source disk image ที่ต้องการ Convert อยู่ใน /tmp directory
- -format UDTO: Option ระบุ Output format UDTO ย่อมาจาก "Universal Disk Image Format" เหมาะสำหรับสร้าง Images ที่ Burn ลง CD/DVD
- -o ~/Desktop/Mojave.cdr: ระบุ Output file name และ Location Converted image จะบันทึกเป็น Mojave.cdr บน Desktop
6️⃣ เปลี่ยนชื่อ Mojave.cdr file เป็น Mojave.iso:
mv ~/Desktop/Mojave.cdr ~/Desktop/Mojave.iso
- mv: คำสั่ง Move หรือ Rename files และ directories
- ~/Desktop/Mojave.cdr: Source file ที่ต้องการ Rename อยู่บน Desktop
- ~/Desktop/Mojave.iso: ชื่อใหม่สำหรับ File หลังรันคำสั่ง File จะเปลี่ยนเป็น Mojave.iso
