คุณอาจตั้งใจไม่ใช้ Google/Facebook เพราะรู้ว่ากำลังเก็บข้อมูลคุณ แต่ไม่สำคัญ เพราะบริษัทอื่นเยอะมากทำอย่างเดียวกัน แค่ไม่ Upfront เท่านั้น
เป็นสิ่งที่อาจกลัวหรือคาดการณ์ได้ แต่ยังตกใจเมื่อมีหลักฐ據 TechCrunch พบแอปจากโรงแรม แอร์ไลน์ ธนาคาร แม้ Carrier โทรศัพท์ ใช้ Glassbox
รวม Air Canada, Hollister, Expedia, Abercrombie & Fitch, Hotels.com, Singapore Airlines ทุกตัวใช้ Glassbox ให้ Developer embed "Session replay" technology ลงแอป ให้บันทึกหน้าจอและเล่นซ้ำ ดูว่าคุณโต้ตอบกับแอปอย่างไร และ Debug หากมีปัญหา
Glassbox โพสต์ Twitter 近期: "Imagine if your website or mobile app could see exactly what your customers do in real time and why they did it."
Air Canada ไม่ได้ Mask Session replays ที่ส่งให้ พบ Passport numbers และ Credit card data
เคยรายงาน Data breach ก่อน The App Analyst รายงานว่า Air Canada ไม่ Mask Session replays ผู้เชี่ยวชาญเขียนว่า Session replays ให้ "Air Canada employees — และใครก็ตามที่เข้าถึง Screenshot database — เห็น Credit card และ Password ที่ไม่ได้เข้ารหัส"

บางแอป เช่น Hollister, Abercrombie & Fitch ส่ง Session replays ไป Glassbox แต่ Expedia, Hotels.com ส่งกลับ Server domain ของตัวเอง "Mostly obfuscated" ข้อมูล แต่ The App Analyst ยังเห็น Email และ Postal codes บ้าง
ยากบอกว่าแอปไหนบันทึกหน้าจอ เพราะ TechCrunch ไม่เจอใน Privacy policies ของแอปเหล่านี้ และแอปบน App Store ต้องมี Privacy policies ทั้งหมด
ต้องเปิดตาเปิดใจ
"I think users should take an active role in how they share their data, and the first step to this is having companies be forthright in sharing how they collect their users' data and who they share it with," The App Analyst ให้ความคิดเห็น
