Windows Live Writer (WLW) เป็น Desktop Blog Client ยอดเยี่ยม รองรับ WordPress, Blogger, TypePad 8 ตั้งค่านี้ควรทำก่อนเขียน
1. Auto-save Drafts (บันทึกร่างอัตโนมัติ)
Tools > Options > Editing > ☑ Automatically save drafts every __ minutes (Default: ปิด)
2. ปิด Smart Quotes/Dashes (ป้องกัน SEO Issue)
Tools > Options > Editing > Uncheck:
- Replace hyphens with dash
- Replace "straight quotes" with "smart quotes"
- Replace other special characters
Smart quotes ให้ Google อ่านเป็น ASCII code ผิดปกติใน Title/Description
3. Reminder Options (เตือนก่อนเผยแพร่)
Tools > Options > Preferences > ☑ Remind me to specify title/category/tags before publishing
4. Spell Check & Dictionary
Tools > Options > Spellings: เลือก Dictionary, Real-time check ( مثل Word), กด F7 เช็คmanual, เช็คตอน Publish
5. Auto-linking for SEO (ลิงก์อัตโนมัติ)
Insert Link > ☑ "Automatically link to this text" หรือ Tools > Options > Auto Linking สร้างฐานข้อมูลคำ-ลิงก์เอง
6. Ping Servers (แจ้ง Search Engine)
Tools > Options > Ping Servers: ใส่ XML-RPC Ping List (WordPress Default) หรือ Ping Shark (60 services ฟรี) FeedBurner ก็ตั้งได้
7. Image Properties Defaults
Insert Image > Select > Configure Layout/Borders/Margins/Link > "Save settings as default"
8. Plugins (ขยายความสามารถ)
Browse WLW Plugins Repository: เพิ่มฟีเจอร์ Insert Code, Maps, YouTube, etc.
