วิธีเปลี่ยนขนาดและตำแหน่ง Pagefile ใน Windows

บ่อยครั้งเห็นคำแนะนำเปลี่ยน Pagefile Size/Location ใน Windows ไมยากแต่ซ่อนลึกใน Settings กันการเปลี่ยนแปลงผิดพลาด ดูวิธีกัน

คำเตือน: แม้ง่าย แต่ ไม่แนะนำ เปลี่ยนถ้าไม่แน่ใจ ผิด → ระบบผิดปกติ ทุกรุ่น Windows ทำเหมือนกัน

Pagefile คืออะไร?

Virtual Memory ของ Windows RAM ไม่พอ → สร้าง Hidden File pagefile.sys Dump Memory ที่ใช้น้อย → RAM ว่างสำหรับงานอื่น

เปลี่ยนขนาด Pagefile

1. เข้าหน้า Advanced System Settings: Start → Search "System" → System (Control Panel) หรือ Win+X → System (Win 8)
2. ซ้าย: Advanced System Settings → Advanced System Properties
3. Performance → Settings → Performance Options
4. แท็บ Advanced → Virtual Memory → Change
5. Virtual Memory Window: ยกติค Automatically manage paging file size for all drives → เลือก Drive → ติ๊ก Custom size → ใส่ Initial/Maximum Size → OK

เปลี่ยนตำแหน่ง Pagefile

1. ทำขั้น 1-4 เหมือนกัน
2. ยกติค Auto Manage → เลือก Drive เดิม → ติ๊ก No Paging File → Set (Disable)
3. เลือก Drive ใหม่ → ติ๊ก System managed size → Set → OK ทุกหน้าต่าง

Restart → Pagefile.sys จะอยู่ที่ Drive ใหม่ (ต้อง Show Protected OS Files ใน Folder Options)

เปลี่ยน Pagefile ช่วยเฉพาะเจาะจงตอนใช้ SSD แต่ทำก็ต่อเมื่อแน่ใจ 100%
