วิธีป้องกันไม่ให้ User แก้ไข Search Index Locations ใน Windows 10

Windows Search Index ช่วยหาไฟล์เร็วขณะค้นหา และสามารถเพิ่ม/ลบ Locations ใน Search Index ได้ หากปรับแต่ง Search Index ตามต้องการ และ ป้องกันไม่ให้ User แก้ไข Search Index Locations ใน Windows 10 สามารถทำตาม Tutorial นี้ สร้างข้อจำกัดด้วย Local Group Policy Editor และ Registry Editor เมื่อทำแล้ว Modify Search Index Locations จะ Grayed Out

ป้องกัน User แก้ไข Search Index Locations ด้วย Group Policy

ขั้นตอน:

1. กด Win+R เปิด Run Dialog
2. พิมพ์ gpedit.msc กด Enter
3. ไป Search ใน Computer Configuration
4. ดับเบิลคลิก Prevent customization of indexed locations in Control Panel Setting
5. เลือก Enabled
6. คลิก OK

เปิด Local Group Policy Editor กด Win+R พิมพ์ gpedit.msc กด Enter

เปิดแล้ว ไป Path:

Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Search

ขวาจะเจอ Setting Prevent customization of indexed locations in Control Panel ดับเบิลคลิก เลือก Enabled

1. ค้นหา regedit ใน Taskbar Search Box
2. คลิกผลลัพธ์ เลือก Yes
3. ไป Windows ใน HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
4. คลิกขวา Windows > New > Key
5. ตั้งชื่อ Windows Search
6. คลิกขวา Windows Search > New > DWORD (32-bit) Value
7. ตั้งชื่อ PreventModifyingIndexedLocations
8. ดับเบิลคลิก ตั้ง Value data 1
9. คลิก OK

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows

คลิกขวา Windows > New > Key ตั้งชื่อ Windows Search

คลิกขวา Windows Search > New > DWORD (32-bit) Value ตั้งชื่อ PreventModifyingIndexedLocations

ดับเบิลคลิก REG_DWORD ตั้ง Value data 1

คลิก OK บันทึก
