ผมอยากทดสอบ option สับซ้อนที่สุด — data และ apps ใน configuration stage tool บอกว่า Acronis True Image 2012 ไม่ compatible Windows 10 ต้อง uninstall ก่อนไปต่อ fine เพราะ system imaged แล้ว worst case roll back ไป snapshot ก่อนทดลอง
ในกรณีผม ต้องไปจาก Windows 7 Ultimate ไป Windows 10 Pro initial setup stage ใช้เวลา ~15 นาที ตามด้วย ~90 นาที actual installation และ configuration นานหน่อยเพราะมี "only" ~37 GB ว่างบน system partition ทำให้ copy old Windows 7 data ทำเป็น smaller shuffles ด้านดีคือ dual-boot system และตลอด setup ไม่ interfere upgrade และ Windows 10 ไม่ assert dominance take over boot sequence ไม่มี issues

ผม hesitate นิดหน่อยก่อน first login ถาม location voice ads nonsense ทั้งนั้น แต่วไล่เข้าสู่ familiar desktop icons ทุกอย่างในที่ควร รวมถึง text files คำสั่ง notes ตรวจสอบครั้งแรก ทุกอย่างเป็นไปได้ดี

เพิ่มเติม มันให้ Windows patches เล็กน้อย (delta จาก 1909 image tiny) และ updates เยอะสำหรับ Microsoft Office 2010 ตรงนี้มัน pull long series unnecessary updates — สำหรับ Visio, Access และเพื่อนๆ ไม่ได้ติดตั้งใน customized setup ของผม
Microphone does not work!
เจอปัญหา — microphone ไม่ทำงาน หรือ "เกือบ" muted ลอง Troubleshooter tool ไม่เจอ issues ลอง Settings ไม่เกิดอะไร Control Panel ให้ tools มากกว่า และ finer-grained control ของ options ต่างๆ มากกว่า "modern" Settings menu แม้ 5 ปี Windows 10 lane touch-optimized Settings utility inferior classic tool ทุกทาง และจะไม่เปลี่ยน ไม่ว่า sales จะ shout cavort มากแค่ไหน
ลอง update audio drivers — Realtek HD Audio latest สำหรับ motherboard นี้จาก 2016 ไม่ช่วย roll back สังเกตไม่ใช่แค่ microphone wonky entire audio stack volume ไม่สูงเท่า Windows 7 figured อาจมีปัญหา gain/boost
Control Panel > Sounds > Recording > Properties เปลี่ยน Microphone Boost จาก 0 เป็น +30.0 dB และ slide level จาก 0 ขึ้น และ suddenly things fine
