มีหลายวิธีในการใช้คำสั่งหลายบรรทัดใน command line ของ Python ตัวอย่างเช่น bash รองรับ multiline statements ซึ่งใช้ได้ดังนี้

หากต้องการให้คำสั่ง Python อยู่บรรทัดเดียว สามารถใช้ \n newline ระหว่างคำสั่งได้
