ปัญหา Eject USB Mass Storage Device ไม่ได้: This device is currently in use

ขั้นตอนมาตรฐาน Eject USB Drive หรือ External Media คือเลือก "Safely remove hardware and eject media" จาก Taskbar Menu แต่บางครั้งพยายาม Eject แล้วเจอ Error – This device is currently in use, Close any programs or windows that might be using the device, and then try again

ข้อความบอกชัดเจน: ต้องปิดไฟล์/โฟลเดอร์/โปรแกรมที่เกี่ยวกับ External Media ก่อน Eject แต่ User รายงานเจอ Error หลังปิดโปรแกรมแล้ว ปัญหาไม่เฉพาะ Brand ใด แสดงว่า Issue อยู่ที่เรา

ปัญหา Eject USB Mass Storage Device: This device is currently in use

สาเหตุที่เป็นไปได้:

1. Virus ใช้โปรแกรมที่เกี่ยวกับ External Media ใน Background
2. Bug ป้องกันไม่ให้ใช้ Eject Media Option ใน Taskbar
3. Process ใน Background ใช้ External Media
4. USB Drive Format เป็น NTFS

Troubleshooting:

1. Scan Anti-malware ละเอียด
2. Eject ผ่าน This PC แทน Notification Area Icon
3. เช็ค Running Processes ใน Task Manager
4. Format USB เป็น exFAT แทน NTFS

1] Scan Anti-malware ละเอียด

ใช้ Anti-virus/Anti-malware ใดๆ ที่น่าเชื่อถือ Scan ระบบ ลบซอฟต์แวร์ที่ติดตั้งใหม่และน่าสงสัย เช่น Freeware หรือจากแหล่งไม่ไว้วางใจ

2] Eject ผ่าน This PC แทน Taskbar

มี Option Eject จาก This PC อีกทาง ใช้เป็น Workaround

เปิด This PC คลิกขวา External Media Drive เลือก Eject

ถ้ายังไม่ได้ ไปวิธีถัดไป

3] Format USB เป็น exFAT แทน NTFS

Format จะลบข้อมูลทั้งหมดใน Drive

USB Format NTFS อาจปัญหาบน Windows บางระบบ แก้ด้วยการ Format File System อื่น

คลิกขวา USB Drive Format

ใน Format Window เลือก exFAT เป็น File System กด Format

ลอง Eject ใหม่ ดูช่วยได้ไหม

4] เช็ค Running Processes ใน Task Manager

เช็คว่า Process ที่เกี่ยวกับ External Media ยังรันอยู่ใน Task Manager ไหม

กด CTRL+ALT+DEL เปิด Security Options เลือก Task Manager

ในรายการ Running Processes เช็คว่าโปรแกรมไหนอยู่ใน External Media

ถ้ามี คลิกขวา Process เลือก End Process

5] ใช้ Process Explorer

ดาวน์โหลด Process Explorer จากเว็บ Microsoft ไฟล์ .zip แตกไฟล์ เปิดโฟลเดอร์ รัน .exe

ในลิสต์ เช็ค Processes ที่รัน มุมมอง Background Processes ง่ายกว่า Task Manager Select Process ที่มีปัญหา กด Delete Kill ได้

Restart ระบบ

Process Explorer ช่วยอีกทาง: Feature Find

กด Find ใน Toolbar เลือก Find Handle or DLL

พิมพ์ Drive Letter ของ External Media ตามด้วย Colon (เช่น E:) Enter

ถ้าไม่มีผลลัพธ์ = ไม่มี Process รันจาก External Media ถ้าเจอ DLLs เช็คชื่อ Kill Process ตามนั้น
