ตอนสร้าง Partition ใหม่ Shrink หรือ Extend Volume ด้วย Disk Management Utility อาจเจอ Error – There is not enough space available on the disk(s) to complete this operation.
แม้จัดการขนาด Volume ได้โดยไม่ต้อง Reinstall OS แต่ข้อจำกัดเริ่มที่นี่ Error นี้เกิดจาก MBR Partition Limit คือไม่สร้าง Partition ได้เกิน 4 ตัว สาเหตุอื่น: Unallocated Space น้อยกว่าที่ต้องการ และ Disk Management ไม่ Detect การเปลี่ยนแปลง Partitions
There is not enough space available on the disk to complete this operation
วิธีแก้:
- ใช้ Third-party Software
- Rescan Disks
- Monitor Current Partitions
1] ใช้ Third-party Software
ใช้ Free Partition Manager อย่าง EaseUS จัดการ Partitions และ Properties
2] Rescan Disks
กด WINKEY + R พิมพ์ diskmgmt.msc เปิด Disk Management
ที่ Menu Ribbon เลือก Action
เลือก Rescan Disks
รอเสร็จ เช็คว่าแก้ได้ไหม
3] Monitor Current Partitions
สาเหตุอีกอย่าง: ใช้ MBR Partition System ระบบเก่า ถูก GPT Partition System แทนที่
MBR รองรับ Max 4 Partitions ถ้ามี 4 Partition แล้ว ต้องเปลี่ยนเป็น GPT เพื่อทำต่อ
แต่จะลบข้อมูลทั้งหมดบน Hard Drive ถ้ายินดี Convert MBR to GPT
