วิธีหา Windows Update Logs ใน Windows 10

ผู้ใช้ Windows 10 บางส่วนพยายามดู Windows 10 Update Log หลัง Update/Upgrade ล้มเหลว แต่ไม่รู้หาที่ไหน บน Windows 10 Update Logs ถูกสร้างโดย ETW (Event Tracing for Windows) ต่างจาก Windows 8.1 และ Windows 7

วิธีหา Windows Update Logs ใน Windows 10

เพราะ Windows 10 ใช้ Event Tracing สำหรับ Update Logs จึงต้องผ่าน Workaround เพื่อดู Logs ได้

มีหลายวิธี หนังสือนี้รวบรวมทุกวิธีการหาและดู Update Logs บน Windows 10 ไว้ด้านล่าง:

  • แปลง Event Tracing Events เป็น WindowsUpdate Log
  • ดู Windows Update Log ทั้งหมดด้วย Event Viewer Utility

เลือกวิธีที่สะดวกที่สุด:

วิธีที่ 1: แปลง ETW Traces ใน PowerShell

หากต้องการวิธีง่ายเก็บและดู Windows Update Log Files ในรูปแบบอ่านง่าย วิธีที่ดีที่สุดคือ รัน PowerShell Command ใน Elevated Command Prompt ที่แปลง ETW (Event Tracing for Windows) ทั้งหมดเป็น WindowsUpdate.log** ที่อ่านได้

วิธีนี้เหมาะสำหรับต้องการ Overview กว้างของ Windows Update** Logs ทั้งหมด แทนที่จะหา Log เฉพาะเจาะจง

  1. กด Windows + R** พิมพ์ powershell** กด Ctrl + Shift + Enter** เปิด Elevated PowerShell** UAC ถาม คลิก Yesวิธีหา Windows Update Logs ใน Windows 10
  2. ใน Elevated PowerShell พิมพ์คำสั่ง กด Enter** เพื่อแปลง Event Tracing Events ทั้งหมดที่เกี่ยวกับ Windows Update Log เป็นไฟล์ WindowsUpdate.log**:
    Get-WindowsUpdateLog
  3. รอคำสั่งรัน (อาจใช้เวลาไม่กี่สิบวินาที)
  4. เสร็จแล้ว ไปที่ Desktop** หาไฟล์ WindowsUpdateLog** ที่เพิ่งสร้างวิธีหา Windows Update Logs ใน Windows 10 หมายเหตุ: เปิดไฟล์นี้ได้ด้วย Notepad แบบคลาสสิก หรือ Text Viewer ที่ดีกว่าเช่น Notepad++**

สำคัญ: นี่เป็น Static Log File จะ ไม่ Update เอง** แม้มี Error ใหม่ถูก Log หากต้องการ List ใหม่ ต้องรันคำสั่งข้างต้นอีกครั้ง

ถ้าวิธีนี้ไม่ได้ผล หรืออยากวิธีอื่นดู Error Log ของ Windows Update ลองวิธีถัดไป

วิธีที่ 2: อ่าน Windows Update Logs ผ่าน Event Viewer

หากต้องการสืบสวน Windows Update Error Logs เฉพาะเจาะจง วิธีที่ดีกว่าคือ ใช้ Event Viewer** Utility ดูทุก Entry Operational** ใต้ WindowsUpdateClient**

วิธีนี้ไม่แนะนำหากต้องการ Export Logs ออกนอก Event Viewer (เพราะไม่มี Bulk Export) แต่เหมาะสำหรับสืบสวนและ Pinpoint Events เฉพาะเจาะจง

  1. กด Windows + R** พิมพ์ eventvwr.msc** Enter เปิด Event Viewer** Utility UAC ถาม คลิก Yesวิธีหา Windows Update Logs ใน Windows 10
  2. ใน Event Viewer ใช้เมนูซ้ายไปที่:
    Applications and Service Logs\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdateClient
  3. ถึงตำแหน่งแล้ว เลือกแท็บ Operational** แล้วดู Center Pane จะเห็นลิสต์ Windows Update Error Logs ทั้งหมด
