แก้ VLC UNDF Error – Unsupported Format Fix & Troubleshooting

“UNDF” error ใน VLC Media Player ปรากฏเมื่อแอปพลิเคชันไม่สามารถ recognize หรือ decode file format ได้

สิ่งนี้มักเกิดจากเหตุผลต่อไปนี้:

  • Missing หรือ unsupported codecs: VLC อาจขาด codec ที่จำเป็นในการ interpret file format โดยเฉพาะหาก media encoded ด้วย standards ที่ล้าสมัยหรือ rare
  • Corrupted file structure หรือ encoding issues: หากไฟล์เสียหายหรือ encoded ผิดปกติ VLC อาจ parse ไม่ได้และแสดง error นี้
  • Compatibility problems กับ VLC versions ใหม่: บาง VLC builds ล่าสุด dropped support สำหรับ legacy codecs ซึ่งอาจป้องกันไม่ให้บางไฟล์เล่นได้

  7. ลองเล่นไฟล์อีกครั้งใน VLC ดูว่า error แก้แล้วหรือไม่

2. รีเซ็ต VLC Preferences

การรีเซ็ต VLC preferences ลบ custom configurations ทั้งหมด และคืน default settings 确保 VLC fallback ไป original codec-handling behavior ขั้นตอนนี้มักแก้ playback errors เหมือน UNDF ที่เกิดจาก misconfigured หรือ conflicting settings

  1. เปิด VLC Media Player
  2. คลิก Tools เมนูบนสุด
  3. เลือก Preferences จาก dropdown
  4. ด้านล่าง Preferences window คลิก Reset Preferences
  5. Restart VLC Media Player

3. ติดตั้ง Combined Community Codec Pack

หาก VLC decode บาง formats ไม่ได้เพราะ missing หรือ unsupported codecs การติดตั้ง Combined Community Codec Pack (CCCP) ช่วยได้ แม้ VLC จะมี essential codecs เอง internal แล้ว แต่ยังอาจ struggle กับ niche หรือ older formats ที่จัดการได้ดีกว่าผ่าน external codec packs

CCCP ขยาย system-level codec support ให้ VLC และ media players อื่นเข้าถึง decoding tools หลากหลายผ่าน OS สามารถแก้ playback errors เหมือน UNDF เมื่อ built-in decoding ไม่พอ

  1. เปิดเบราว์เซอร์ไปที่ CCCP download page นี้
  2. คลิก Download
  3. รัน downloaded installer ตาม default setup process
  4. Restart คอมพิวเตอร์หลังติดตั้ง
  5. เปิด VLC และลองเล่นไฟล์เดิมอีกครั้ง

หากวิธีข้างต้นไม่ได้ผล ไฟล์เองอาจเสียหายหรือ encoded ผิด ลองเปิดใน media player อื่นอย่าง PotPlayer หรือ MPC-HC หากยังล้มเหลว ปัญหาอาจอยู่ที่ไฟล์ ไม่ใช่ VLC
