Firefox 57 เปิดยุค WebExtensions ใหม่ใน Addons World ของ Mozilla แบก Ecosystem บังคับการเปลี่ยนแปลงใหญ่ Addon ที่ได้รับผลกระทบคือ Noscript Security Suite (NSS) ซึ่งเป็นเหตุผลเดียวที่ยังเลือก Firefox มากกว่า Chrome Giorgio Maone สร้าง Noscript ใหม่ การเปลี่ยนแปลงรากรากสำหรับผู้ใช้เยอะ
ผมเขียน Guide Noscript 10 ครั้งแรก อธิบาย Terminology ใหม่ Permission Model ฯล฿ รับความดี ถูกอ้างอิงใน Official Basic Usage Howto บน Forum Noscript Yay หลายสัปดาห์ผ่าน Noscript มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงเพิ่ม ผมอยากให้ Focus มากขึ้นบน Tool นี้และความสามารถ อ่าน Guide แรกเข้าใจ Basics ก่อน แล้วค่อยมาต่อ
ลุคใหม่
Noscript 10 ดูดีกว่าเดิม Text และ Icons เงยหรู Spacing ดีขึ้น มีปุ่มแยก Temporary Allow Domains ที่รายการ Reload หน้าเว็บทันทีที่ปล่อยเมาส์ เปลี่ยน Permission ราย Domain แยกได้ Settings Page ปรับปรุงใหม่ จะพูดในไม่ช้า
ฟังก์ชันใหม่
การเปลี่ยนแปลง UI ใหญ่: ช่วงหนึ่ง Domain ซ้ำหลายครั้ง แต่ Make Sense มี Option Allow Permission ทั้ง Domain (Wildcard) หรือ Entry เฉพาะมาก เช่น Allow dedoimedo.com = ทุก Subdomain/Variation รวม HTTP/HTTPS แต่ Allow เฉพาะ https://www.dedoimedo.com = Match URL นี้อย่างเดียว ให้ Granularity ควบคุมมากขึ้น รุ่น 10.x ใหม่กลับมาแสดง Single Entry ครอบคลุม Traffic ทุกประเภท
Permission: Temporarily Allow เป็น Category แยก Make Sense กด Temp-allow Icon ง่ายกว่า Cogwheel บน Trusted Icon เดิม ไม่มี List Available Elements ใน Main Interface อีกต่อไป Logical เปลี่ยนผ่าน Settings Window แทน คลิกผิดพลาดทำ Scope-wide Change
Settings
เปิด Settings Page หลายวิธี: Blank Tab คลิก Icon (แสดง ?) ถ้าใช้ Tab โหลดเว็บแล้ว คลิก Noscript Icon ด้านซ้ายบน Popup Menu ใกล้ Stop/Reload Buttons Interface ปรับหลายรอบ
Panel Clean ใช้งานง่าย v10.1.6.x มี Options: Allow Scripts Globally, Temporarily Allow Top-level Domains (Troubleshooting), Allow/Disable XSS Checks ฟังก์ชันนี้ Buggy ช่วงกลาง แตทำงานดีตอนนี้ Clear XSS Choices List Troubleshooting
Presets สำหรับ Scope แสดงแยก Tab: Default, Trusted, Untrusted ล่าง: List Site Permissions Non-default จะแสดง ใช้ Search Window ได้ รวม Domain ที่ทำงานอยู่ (Temp-allowed)
Debug Feature คงอยู่ เข้าใจ Ruleset ปัจจุบัน ผ่าน JSON Export Config (Text File) Import Existing Configs ใช้ซ้ำ Well-tested Set ระหว่าง Systems/Profiles ดีสำหรับ Backup ก่อนเปลี่ยน Settings ใหญ่
v10.1.7.x Layout ปรับอีกครั้ง: มี Tabs ลุคสะอาด เข้าถึงส่วนต่างๆ ของ Addon ง่ายขึ้น General: Edit Scope Presets, Globally Allow Scripts, Temp-allow All Top-level (1st level) Domains เช่น dedoimedo.com ทุกอย่างจาก Domain นี้ Allowed แต่ไม่ Third-party Scripts
Per-site Permissions เหมือนเดิม Appearance: ปรับ Visual เล็กน้อย แสดงจำนวน Scripts Allowed/Blocked ต่อหน้า Expand Domain Names ฯล฿ Advanced: JSON View Config เหมือน Guide แรก Import, Export, Reset Settings
สรุป
Noscript เนืองขึ้นมา ไม่ใช่ All-can-do Tool ตอน Firefox Pre-57 แต่ Adequate และ Suitable สำหรับคนส่วนใหญ่ ให้ Protection ที่จำเป็น และสำคัญกว่า: ความเงียบสงบที่อยากได้เวลา Browse Net หน้าเว็บ Static เงียบ ให้ Focus อ่าน ไม่ถูกรบกวน Web 2.0/3.0 แบบไหน ส่วนใหญ่คนโฟกัส Security
ผมใช้ Addon ครอบหลาย Profiles/Systems ไม่เจอ Breakages/BUGS ใหญ่ Occasional Tiny Issues มาไปหายในวันเดียว จำได้ว่า XSS Issue ชั่วคราว Performance เทียบเท่าเดิม ยังมีห้องสำหรับ Improvements และ New Stuff มั่นใจว่าจะมา หวังว่าอ่านสนุก Take care.
