ตามที่รู้กันว่าค่า timestamp สามารถแปลงเป็นจำนวนวินาทีได้ด้วยฟังก์ชัน UNIX_TIMESTAMP() MySQL จะ ละเลยไมโครวินาที ที่เพิ่มเข้าไปในค่า timestamp เนื่องจากค่า UNIX_TIMESTAMP มีความยาวเพียง 10 หลักเท่านั้น
