การติดตั้ง MySQL จาก Source (Installing MySQL from Source)

MySQL build จาก source code ได้ ข้อดี: ปรับ build parameters, compiler optimizations, installation location ได้ ระบบที่รองรับ: https://www.mysql.com/support/supportedplatforms/database.html

ก่อนติดตั้งจาก source ตรวจสอบว่า Oracle มี precompiled binary distribution สำหรับ platform นั้นหรือไม่ และใช้งานได้หรือไม่

Build ด้วย nonstandard options อาจลด functionality, performance, หรือ security

MySQL source code มี internal documentation ด้วย Doxygen เรียกดูได้ที่ https://dev.mysql.com/doc/index-other.html

2 วิธีติดตั้งจาก Source

1. Standard MySQL Source Distribution

Distributions: compressed tar files, Zip archives, RPM packages

ชื่อไฟล์: 'mysql-VERSION.tar.gz', 'mysql-VERSION.zip', 'mysql-VERSION.rpm' (VERSION เช่น 8.0.25)

Source distributions: ชื่อ generic ไม่มี platform name

Binary distributions: มี platform name (เช่น pc-linux-i686, winx64)

2. MySQL Development Tree

ขั้นตอนติดตั้งจาก Standard Source Distribution

  • ตรวจสอบ system tool requirements
