การติดตั้ง MySQL บน Microsoft Windows

MySQL รองรับ Microsoft Windows 64-bit เท่านั้น Platform info: https://www.mysql.com/support/supportedplatforms/database.html

หลายวิธีติดตั้ง วิธีหนึ่งคือ MySQL Installer Method (simplest และ recommended)

ขั้นตอน:

  1. ดาวน์โหลด MySQL Installer จาก https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/installer/
  2. Execute ไฟล์ (web-community version: download products ที่เลือก ไม่ bundle ทั้งหมด)
  3. เลือก Setup Type สำหรับ initial installation

Setup Types:

  • Developer Default: MySQL Server + MySQL tools สำหรับ development (MySQL Workbench, etc.)
  • Server Only: MySQL Server เพียงอย่างเดียว
  • Custom: เลือก version และ products เอง

Drag products จาก "Available Products" ไปขวา

Server Configuration - Availability Levels:

  • Standalone MySQL Server / Classic MySQL Replication (default): รันโดยไม่มี high availability
  • InnoDB Cluster: 2 options based on MySQL Group Replication:
    • Sandbox InnoDB Cluster บน local host (testing only)
    • Create new InnoDB Cluster หรือ add instance ไป existing cluster

MySQL ติดตั้งเสร็จ หาก configure as service: Windows auto-start MySQL ทุกครั้งที่ restart

MySQL Installer application ติดตั้งบน local host ใช้ upgrade/reconfigure ได้ภายหลัง
