Microsoft ปล่อย Windows 7 Beta Download Links:
- Windows 7 Beta 32-bit
- Windows 7 Beta 64-bit (Download หยุดแล้ว)
ไฟล์ ~2.4 GB ต้องใช้ Broadband หลายชั่วโมง Burn DVD เพื่อใช้
Beta ไม่ควร Upgrade/ลบ Vista ควร Dual Boot เลือก Boot Vista หรือ Win 7 วิธี:
1. Shrink Vista Partition สร้าง Partition ใหม่
Vista: Start → Control Panel → System and Maintenance → Administrative Tools → Create and format hard disk partitions
Right-click Chart → Shrink Volume
กรอกขนาดที่จะ Shrink (ขนาด Partition ใหม่) Win 7 ต้องการ ≥10 GB → Shrink
กลับ Disk Management: มี 2 Partition: C: และ Unallocated → Right-click Unallocated → New Simple Volume
ตั้ง Volume Size → Next
Drive Letter: หลีกเลี่ยง CD-ROM ผมเลือก G: (ตั้งเองได้)
Format/Volume Label: แนะนำ Label = Windows 7 เพื่อจำง่าย
Partitioning เริ่ม → เสร็จแล้ว
ปิดทั้งหมด → ใส่ Windows 7 DVD → Restart
2. ติดตั้ง Windows 7
Boot จาก DVD (ตั้ง BIOS ให้ Boot จาก CD-ROM) → Follow Wizard จนถึงเลือก Partition ติดตั้ง เลือก Partition ที่สร้างใหม่ (ไม่ใช่ Vista Partition)
ติดตั้ง ~30 นาที → Auto-restart → Boot Menu เลือก Vista หรือ Windows 7
Dual Boot Windows XP และ Windows 7
ขั้นตอนเหมือน Dual Boot XP และ Vista
เข้าถึง Vista Partition จาก Windows 7
Boot เข้า Win 7 → ไม่เข้าถึง Vista Partition ได้ (ทั้งคู่เป็น Drive C:) → ไป Disk Management → เปลี่ยน Drive Letter ของ Vista Partition
- Win 7: Disk Management
- Right-click Vista Partition (ว่าง) → Change Drive Letter and Paths
- Add → กำหนด Drive Letter ให้ Vista Partition
Save → Vista Partition ปรากฏใน Explorer
