NVIDIA Installer cannot continue
ข้อความผิดพลาดต่อไปนี้โผล่ระหว่างติดตั้ง:
The Standard NVIDIA graphics driver is not compatible with this version of Windows. Please update your driver using GeForce Experience to download the correct version.
ปัญหา "NVIDIA Installer cannot continue" เกิดเพราะ GeForce 398.36 DCH Graphics Driver ถูกติดตั้งอัตโนมัติผ่าน Windows Update หลัง Logon ครั้งแรก
เพื่อแก้ไข ลองวิธีแนะนำด้านล่าง:
- Disconnect คอมพิวเตอร์จาก Network ระหว่างติดตั้ง OS
- ใช้ NVIDIA GeForce Experience Application เพื่อแก้ไข
ก่อนเริ่ม ตรวจสอบก่อนว่า NVIDIA DCH Graphics Driver ติดตั้งอยู่บน Windows 10 หรือไม่ โดยเช็คว่ามีค่า DCHUVen ใน Windows Registry หรือไม่
วิธีเช็ค:
เปิด Registry Editor (กด Windows Key + R พิมพ์ regedit กด Enter)
ไปที่ Registry Entry:
Computer\ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\nvlddmkm
หากมีค่า DCHUVen แสดงว่ากำลังรัน NVIDIA DCH Driver
ตอนนี้ยืนยันแล้วว่ามี NVIDIA DCH Graphics Driver อยู่ ต้อง Uninstall ให้หมดก่อนจึงจะทำวิธีแก้ไขที่แนะนำได้ เพื่อไม่ให้ Error เกิดซ้ำ
หาก Uninstall NVIDIA GeForce Driver แบบปกติ จะไม่หายจากระบบจนกว่าจะ Reboot แต่ Windows Update จะเริ่มทันทีหลัง Reboot และติดตั้ง DCH Driver ที่เพิ่ง Uninstall ใหม่
เพื่อ Uninstall GeForce Graphics Driver ให้ถูกต้อง ทำดังนี้:
เปิด Device Manager (กด Windows Key + X เลือก Device Manager)
เปิด NVIDIA Graphics Adapter
ไปแท็บ Details เลือก Inf name ใต้ Property จดค่าที่ได้ไว้
เปิด Command Prompt เป็น Administrator
Copy และ Paste คำสั่งด้านล่างใน Command Prompt กด Enter:
pnputil /delete-driver X /uninstall
X คือ Placeholder สำหรับค่า Inf name ที่จดไว้
หลัง Uninstall และ Delete Driver Package เรียบร้อย รันคำสั่งต่อไปเพื่อลบ Leftovers ของ Driver:
sc delete nvlddmkm
หลังทำขั้นตอนเหล่านี้เสร็จ สามารถลองวิธีแก้ 2 วิธีข้างต้นได้
1] Disconnect คอมพิวเตอร์จาก Network ระหว่างติดตั้ง OS
วิธีตรงและมีประสิทธิภาพที่สุด หลีกเลี่ยงปัญหา: Disconnect Network ระหว่างติดตั้ง OS จะบล็อก OS ไม่ให้ติดตั้ง GeForce 398.36 DCH Graphics Driver ผ่าน Windows Update ต้องติดตั้ง Driver เองจาก USB Media หรือ Driver Disc ก่อนที่ Network จะพร้อมใช้งาน Windows Update จะไม่แทนที่ Driver ที่มีอยู่ด้วย DCH Driver
2] ใช้ NVIDIA GeForce Experience Application เพื่อแก้ไข
GeForce Experience เป็นแอปพลิเคชันประกอบ GeForce GTX Graphics Card คุณสามารถได้ DCH Version ของ Graphics Driver ผ่านมัน เพื่อหลีกเลี่ยง Conflict ที่อาจเกิดขึ้น ดังนั้นการใช้ GeForce Experience ก็สามารถหลีกเลี่ยงปัญหา "NVIDIA Installer cannot continue" ได้เช่นกัน
