ติดตั้ง Ubiquity

หน้าแรก

ข้อมูลเพิ่ม: Mozilla Labs Blog Overview (มี Flash Movie 7 นาที), Mozilla Wiki Tutorial

Warning: ยังเป็น EXPERIMENTAL หลีกเลี่ยง Production Environment ต้อง Backup Firefox Profile ก่อน (ผมไม่เจอปัญหาแต่ต้องระวัง) ติดตั้งง่ายเหมือน Add-on ปกติ

เปิด Browser → ไม่มีอะไรเปลี่ยน Ubiquity ไม่ทำงานจนกว่า Invoke ด้วย Key Combination:

จะได้ Semi-transparent Black Command Prompt มุมซ้ายบน = Ubiquity Command Line (เรียกว่า "Second Address Bar" ดีกว่า)

ใช้งาน Ubiquity

Enter = Activate Command, Esc = Cancel/Close

ค้นหา/ความหมาย ผ่าน Google, Wikipedia

Highlight ข้อความที่สนใจ → เปิด Ubiquity → ได้ Options: Google, Default Search, Wikipedia, IMDB, Yahoo คลิกหรือ Arrow Keys เลือก

Trick: Selection = this พิมพ์ Google this → Enter → Tab ใหม่เปิด Google สำหรับคำที่ Highlight

Wikipedia: พิมพ์ w + คำ → Preview ผลลัพธ์ใน Ubiquity เลย อ่านได้ทันที ไม่ต้องไป Wikipedia

ส่ง Email ผ่าน Ubiquity

รองรับ Gmail: email this to address@address.com เลือกรูปภาพ → พิมพ์คำสั่ง → 15 วินาที Gmail Tab เปิดเอง (Login อยู่แล้ว = Compose อัตโนมัติ)

เช็ค Weather

วางแผนไป Rio Carnival → weather rio ได้ข้อมูลทันที

Maps

ต่างแดน หาสถานที่ไม่อยากไป Tourism Sites → map toronto second city แสดง Google Maps ทันที

Translate

Highlight คำ → translate this to german → คำที่ Select เปลี่ยนเป็นภาษาเป้าหมายทันที!

Right-click Context Menu

ไม่ต้อง Shortcut: Right-click → Ubiquity → เลือก Function ต่างๆ

พิมพ์ help ใน Ubiquity

Import Commands

ขยาย Ubiquity ด้วย Commands จากเว็บอื่น (เหมือนดาวน์โหลด Content แต่เป็น Commands) ระวัง Unknown/Untrusted Sources

เหมือน Firefox Add-on Install: แถบแจ้งเหนือหน้าเว็บ → กด Install → Warning: Unknown Content from Untrusted Source

Mozilla วางแผน Trusted Repository (Digitally Signed) เหมือน Extensions/Linux Distro Updates
