[เก่า/Deprecated] rEFIt: Boot Manager สำหรับ Mac Intel (EFI) - ภาพรวมและการติดตั้ง

rEFIt คืออะไร (ประวัติศาสตร์)

rEFIt เป็น Boot Menu และ Maintenance Toolkit สำหรับ Mac Intel (EFI-based) ช่วย:

• Boot Multiple OS (macOS, Windows, Linux) แบบ GUI ไม่ต้องกด Option ตอนบูต
• Sync Partition Table (MBR/GPT Hybrid)
• Shell สำหรับ Troubleshooting EFI
• Triple Boot (macOS + Windows + Linux) ผ่าน Boot Camp

ทางเลือกปัจจุบัน: rEFInd (Active Fork)

rEFInd เป็น Fork ของ rEFIt ที่ยังพัฒนาอยู่ รองรับ:

• Mac Intel (T2 Security Chip รองรับบางส่วน)
• Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) - จำกัด (ต้องใช้ 1TR/Recovery Mode)
• UEFI PCs ทั่วไป
• Theme สวย, Auto-detect OS, Kernel Command Line Editor, File System Drivers (ext4, btrfs, APFS, NTFS)

ติดตั้ง rEFInd (แนะนำแทน rEFIt)

macOS (Intel)

# วิธีง่าย: ใช้ Homebrew
brew install --cask refind
# หรือดาวน์โหลด Binary จาก https://sourceforge.net/projects/refind/
# แล้วรัน ./refind-install

Linux (UEFI)

# Arch/Manjaro
sudo pacman -S refind
sudo refind-install

# Ubuntu/Debian
sudo apt install refind
# (Installer จะรัน refind-install อัตโนมัติ)

# Fedora
sudo dnf install refind
sudo refind-install

Windows

ดาวน์โหลด Binary → รัน refind-install.exe จาก Administrator Command Prompt

การตั้งค่า rEFInd (refind.conf)

• rEFInd-minimal - สะอาด ตัวอักษรใหญ่
• rEFInd-regular - Default
• Custom Themes จาก GitHub

แก้ปัญหา Mac Intel (T2 Chip / Secure Boot)

• T2 Mac: ต้อง Disable Secure Boot (Startup Security Utility → No Security)
• External Boot: Allow booting from external media
• rEFInd อาจต้อง Sign ด้วย Machine Owner Key (MOK) สำหรับ Secure Boot
• Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3): rEFInd ไม่ทำงานแบบเต็มรูปแบบ ใช้ Boot Picker Native (กดปิด Power แล้วค้าง) หรือ 1TR Bootloader

Uninstall rEFInd

# macOS/Linux
sudo refind-install --remove

# หรือ Manual: ลบ /boot/efi/EFI/refind และ Restore Boot Order
efibootmgr -b XXXX -B  # ลบ Boot Entry
