- Upgrade the paths
- Prepare installation for upgrade
- Upgrade MySQL binary/package-based installation on Unix/Linux
- Upgrade ผ่าน MySQL Yum/APT/SLES repository หรือ Windows
- Upgrade Docker installation
- Upgrade troubleshooting
- Rebuild/repair tables หรือ indexes
- Copy MySQL databases to other machine
MySQL binary/package-based upgrades บน Unix/Linux หลายวิธี:
- In-place upgrade
- Logical upgrade
- MySQL cluster upgrade
In-place Upgrade
- Shutdown old MySQL server
- Replace old binaries/packages ด้วย new ones
- Restart MySQL server บน existing data directory
- Upgrade remaining parts ที่ต้องการ upgrade
Logical Upgrade
- Export SQL จาก old MySQL instance
- ใช้ backup/export utility: 'mysqldump' หรือ 'mysqlpump'
- Install new MySQL server โดย apply SQL ไป new instance
MySQL Cluster Upgrade
- Upgrade MGM nodes
- Upgrade data nodes ทีละตัว
- Upgrade API nodes ทีละตัว (รวม MySQL servers)
- Upgrade data dictionary
- Upgrade system tables
- Restart system
