Security Information Management (SIM) เป็นประเภทของ software ที่ automate การรวบรวม event log data จาก security devices เช่น firewalls, proxy servers, intrusion detection systems, และ anti-virus software เป้าหมายของ SIM คือ ป้องกัน interruptions กับ business activities และให้ correct และ secure services ของ computer และ network facilities
