แก้ Windows 10 Update Error 0X800F0982

Windows 10 เจอ 0X800F0982 ตอนติดตั้ง Cumulative Updates บางตัว (มัก KB4493509, KB4489899)

สาเหตุ 3 ประการ:

• Windows Update Glitch ทั่วไป — Microsoft รู้จัก ใช้ Windows Update Troubleshooter แก้อัตโนมัติ
• WU Process ค้าง Limbo State — Service WU สำคัญค้าง Reset ทุก Component
• WU Component เสียหาย — System File Corruption บังคับติดตั้งผ่าน PowerShell Admin

1. ใช้ Windows Update Troubleshooter

Win10 มี Built-in Repair Strategies เริ่มจากนี้ก่อน (ไม่รับประกันแต่อาจแก้ได้)

1. Win+R → ms-settings-troubleshoot → Enter → Troubleshoot Tab
2. ขวา: Get up and running → Windows Update → Run the troubleshooter
3. รอสแกน → ถ้ามี Fix: Apply this fix
4. Restart → ทดสอบติดตั้ง Update ใหม่

2. Reset WU Component (CMD Admin)

หลายคนแก้ 0X800F0982 สำเร็จด้วยวิธีนี้

1. Win+R → cmd → Ctrl+Shift+Enter (CMD Admin) (UAC: Yes)
2. รันคำสั่งตามลำดับ:

   net stop wuauserv
   net stop cryptSvc
   net stop bits
   net stop msiserver
   ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
   ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 catroot2.old
   net start wuauserv
   net start cryptSvc
   net start bits
   net start msiserver

3. ปิด CMD → Restart → ทดสอบ Update

3. บังคับติดตั้ง Update ผ่าน PowerShell

Reset ไม่ได้ → บังคับติดตั้งผ่าน PowerShell Admin

1. Win+R → powershell → Ctrl+Shift+Enter (PowerShell Admin) (UAC: Yes)
2. พิมพ์:

   wuauclt.exe /UPDATENOW

   → Enter
3. Restart → เช็ค WU ว่ายังมี Pending Update หรือไม่
