แก้ไขข้อผิดพลาด Steam Service: วิธีแก้ไขเร็วสำหรับปัญหาการเปิดไม่ได้

Steam โดย Valve เปิดตัวในปี 2003 เป็นบริการกระจายเกมดิจิทัลยอดนิยมที่สุดตลอดกาล ณ ปี 2019 มีเกมกว่า 34,000 เกม และผู้ใช้งานใช้งานอยู่เดือนละเกือบ 100 ล้านคน ความนิยมของ Steam มาจากฟีเจอร์มากมาย: ติดตั้งเกมคลิกเดียวจากไลบรารีที่ขยายตัวตลอดเวลา อัปเดตเกมที่ติดตั้งแล้วโดยอัตโนมัติ ติดต่อเพื่อนผ่านฟีเจอร์ชุมชน และประสบการณ์เล่นเกมที่ดีขึ้นด้วยฟีเจอร์อย่าง voice/chat ในเกม สกรีนชอต บัคอัปคลาวด์ เป็นต้น

แม้ Steam จะแพร่หลาย แต่ก็ไม่ได้สมบูรณ์แบบ ผู้ใช้มักรายงานเจอข้อผิดพลาดบ่อยครั้ง ข้อผิดพลาดที่พบบ่อยเกี่ยวกับ Steam Client service มีข้อความ 2 แบบ:

“In order to run Steam properly on this version of Windows, the Steam service component is not working properly on this computer. Reinstalling the Steam service requires administrator privileges.”

“In order to run Steam properly on this version of Windows, the Steam service component must be installed. The service installation process requires administrator privileges.”

ข้อผิดพลาด Steam service ป้องกันไม่ให้ผู้ใช้เปิดแอปพลิเคชันได้เลย ทำให้ใช้ฟีเจอร์ไหนก็ไม่ได้ หากคุณก็เป็นผู้ได้รับผลกระทบ บทความนี้จะอภิปรายสาเหตุและวิธีแก้ไขที่เป็นไปได้

แก้ไขข้อผิดพลาด Steam Service เมื่อเปิด Steam

ข้อความข้อผิดพลาดทั้งสองขอสิ่งเดียวกันคือ Administrative privileges วิธีแก้ที่เป็นเหตุเป็นผลคือ รัน Steam as administrator แม้การให้สิทธิ์แอดมินแก้ไขได้สำหรับคนส่วนใหญ่ แต่บางคนยังรายงานข้อผิดพลาดแม้รันเป็นแอดมินแล้ว

วิธีที่ 1: รัน Steam As Administrator

ก่อนไปวิธีซับซ้อน ให้ทำตามที่ข้อความข้อผิดพลาดแนะนำ: รัน Steam as administrator การรันแอปเป็นแอดมินง่ายมาก: คลิกขวาที่ไอคอนแอป > เลือก Run as administrator จาก context menu

แทนที่จะทำทุกครั้งที่เปิด Steam ให้เปิดฟีเจอร์ให้รันเป็นแอดมินตลอดเวลา ขั้นตอน:

  1. หาตำแหน่ง Steam application file (.exe) บนคอมพิวเตอร์ มี 2 วิธี:

  2. หา Steam.exe แล้ว คลิกขวา > Properties (หรือ Alt + Enter)
  3. ไปแท็บ Compatibility
  4. ใต้ Settings > ติ๊กถูก Run this program as an administrator
  5. คลิก Apply > OK (หากมี UAC ขออนุญาต คลิก Yes)

ตอนนี้ เปิด Steam ใหม่ เช็คว่ายังเจอข้อความข้อผิดพลาดหรือไม่

วิธีที่ 2: ปิด Windows Defender Firewall

สาเหตุง่ายๆ ของ Steam service error อาจเป็นการจำกัดของ Windows Defender หรือ antivirus ของบุคคลที่สาม ปิด antivirus ชั่วคราว แล้วลองเปิด Steam

Antivirus ของบุคคลที่สาม ปิดได้โดยคลิกขวาไอคอนที่ taskbar > Disable (หรือตัวเลือกคล้ายกัน) สำหรับ Windows Defender ทำตามนี้:

  1. ค้นหา Windows Defender Firewall (Windows + S) > Open
  2. คลิก Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off ด้านซ้าย
  3. คลิก Turn off Windows Defender Firewall (not recommended) ภายใต้ Private และ Public network settings
  4. หากมีป๊อปอัพเตือน Firewall ถูกปิด > คลิก OK หรือ Yes
  5. คลิก OK บันทึกการเปลี่ยนแปลง > เปิด Steam เช็คว่าข้อผิดพลาดยังคงอยู่หรือไม่

วิธีที่ 3: ตรวจสอบให้ Steam service เริ่มต้นอัตโนมัติได้

Client service ของ Steam ต้องรันทุกครั้งที่เปิดแอป หาก Steam client service ไม่เริ่มอัตโนมัติ อาจเจอข้อผิดพลาด ต้องตั้งค่า service ให้เริ่มอัตโนมัติจากแอป Windows Services

  1. เปิด Windows Services โดย:
    • ก. Windows + R > พิมพ์ services.msc > Enter
    • ข. คลิก Start หรือ Search (Windows + S) > พิมพ์ services > Open
  2. ใน Services window หา Steam Client Service คลิกขวา > Properties (หรือดับเบิลคลิก) คลิก Name ที่หัวตารางเพื่อจัดเรียง A-Z หาง่ายขึ้น
  3. แท็บ General > เช็ค Service status หาก Started > กด Stop หาก Stopped > ข้ามไปขั้นถัดไป
  4. ขยาย drop-down Startup type > เลือก Automatic (หากมีป๊อปอัพยืนยัน กด Yes)
  5. ก่อนปิด Properties > กด Start รอ Service status เป็น Started > Apply > OK

บางคนเจอข้อผิดพลาดเมื่อกด Start หลังตั้งค่า Startup type เป็น Automatic:

“Windows could not start the Steam Client Service on Local Computer. Error 1079: The account specified for this service differs from the account specified for other services running in the same process.”

หากคุณเจอข้อนี้ ทำตามขั้นตอน:

  1. เปิด Services อีกครั้ง หา Cryptographic Services คลิกขวา > Properties
  2. ไปแท็บ Log On > คลิก Browse…
  3. พิมพ์ชื่อบัญชีของคุณ ในกล่อง 'Enter the object name to select' > คลิก Check Names
  4. ระบบจะ verify ชื่อบัญชี > คลิก OK หากมีรหัสผ่าน ให้ป้อน > Steam Client Service ควรเริ่มได้แล้ว เปิด Steam เช็คอีกครั้ง

วิธีที่ 4: ซ่อมแซม Steam Service โดยใช้ Command Prompt

หากวิธีข้างต้นไม่ได้ สาเหตุอาจเป็น steam service เสียหาย/เสียหาย ต้องซ่อมแซม โชคดีที่ซ่อม service ต้องรันคำสั่งเดียวใน elevated command prompt as administrator

  1. หา installation address ของ Steam service: คลิกขวา shortcut > Open File Location ตำแหน่งเริ่มต้น C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\bin คลิกแถบที่อยู่ File Explorer > Ctrl + C คัดลอกที่อยู่
  2. เปิด Command Prompt as administrator โดย:
    • ก. คลิกขวา Start หรือ Windows + X > Command Prompt (Admin) (บางคนเห็น Windows PowerShell แทน ให้ใช้วิธีอื่น)
    • ข. Windows + R > พิมพ์ cmd > Ctrl + Shift + Enter
    • ค. ค้นหา Command Prompt (Windows + S) > เลือก Run As Administrator จากแถบขวา
    (จะมี UAC popup ขออนุญาต > คลิก Yes)
  3. ใน Command Prompt admin > Ctrl + V วางที่อยู่ที่คัดลอก > พิมพ์ /repair > Enter คำสั่งจะเป็นแบบนี้:

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\bin\SteamService.exe" /repair

Command prompt จะรันคำสั่ง และคืนข้อความ:

Steam Client Service "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam" repair completed.
