Windows รันบริการหลายอย่างในพื้นหลัง (Background Services) หาบริการเหล่านี้พร้อมสถานะได้ในหน้าต่าง Services (กด Windows + R พิมพ์ services.msc กด Enter) บริการเหล่านี้ยังเห็นในแท็บแยก ภายใต้ System Configuration Utility (รู้จักกันในชื่อ msconfig)
วันนี้เจอปัญหาแปลกสำหรับ Background services ในหน้าต่าง Services ต่อท้ายแต่ละบริการ สถานะบอกว่า "Failed to Read Description. Error Code 2" ดูภาพหน้าจอ:
เนื่องจาก Error code 2 สรุปได้ว่า Background services files หายจากระบบ อันดับแรกที่ทำหลังเห็น Error ตรวจสอบไฟล์ที่จำเป็นสำหรับ Services ทุกอย่าง OK กับระบบของผม ไฟล์อยู่ครบ
รัน System File Checker หาและแก้ Corruption แล้ว Reboot แต่ไม่ต่างอะไร Services ยังแสดง Error เดิม
ลอง Troubleshooting ทางอื่น จบปัญหาด้วยวิธีแก้ไขดังนี้
Failed To Read Description, Error Code 2
1. กด Windows Key + R พิมพ์ Regedt32.exe ใน Run dialog box กด Enter เปิด Registry Editor
2. ไปที่ตำแหน่ง:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\MUI
3. คลิกขวาที่คีย์ MUI เลือก New -> Key ตั้งชื่อ Key ใหม่ว่า StringCacheSettings
ในแผงขวาของ Key ใหม่ สร้าง DWORD ใหม่ ชื่อ StringCacheGeneration ดับเบิลคลิก DWORD นี้ เพื่อแก้ไข Value data:
4. ในกล่องด้านบน พิมพ์ Value data เป็น 38b ตรวจสอบให้เลือก Base Hexadecimal คลิก OK ปิด Registry Editor และ Reboot เพื่อแก้ไข
