แก้ Task Host Window ปิดเครื่องไม่ได้ "Task Host is stopping background tasks"

ปกติ Shutdown Windows หากโปรแกรมยังเปิดอยู่ จะ Popup หน้าต่างถาม Close Program หรือ Shut Down Anyway แต่บางกรณี Process ภายในบล็อก Shutdown/Restart ได้ Error:

Task Host Window, Task Host is stopping background tasks

มักเกิดเมื่อ Update File ป้องกัน PC Update

ยากที่จะ Clean Boot เพราะ Restart ไม่ได้ ถ้าไม่ Force Shutdown

แก้ Task Host Window ป้องกัน Shutdown

1. รัน Windows Update Troubleshooter

1. Start > Gear Icon (Settings)
2. Updates and Security > Troubleshoot Tab
3. หา Windows Update Troubleshooter รัน

แก้ได้ = ดี ไม่ได้ = ขั้นตอนถัดไป

2. Restart InstallService Service

1. เปิด Services Manager หา InstallService
2. Right-click > Restart
3. Reboot Computer

3. เปลี่ยน Sign-in Option

Settings > Accounts > Sign-In Options > Scroll ลงหา Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device after an update or restart ใต้ Privacy ปิด Feature นี้ ลองดู

4. ปิด Hybrid Shutdown / Fast Startup

Hybrid Shutdown/Fast Startup เร่ง Boot แต่อาจก่อปัญหานี้ ปิดดังนี้:

1. Win+R > powercfg.cpl
2. ซ้าย: "Choose what the power button does"
3. คลิก "Change settings that are currently unavailable"
4. Uncheck "Turn on fast startup"

5. ลด Shutdown Timeout

หาวิธีข้างบนไม่ได้ ทำนี้:

1. Win+R > regedit Enter
2. ไป: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control
3. Right-click WaitToKillServiceTimeout เปลี่ยนค่า = 5000
4. ไป: HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Control Panel/Desktop
5. Right-click WaitToKillServiceTimeout เปลี่ยนค่า = 5000

ตั้งค่าต่ำลง (5000 = 5 วินาที) Shutdown เร็วขึ้น แต่อาจ Loss Data หรือ Disk Corruption ใช้อย่างระมัดระวัง Windows ไม่รับค่า 3-digit

ขั้นตอนข้างต้นควรช่วยแก้ปัญหาได้
