Microsoft กล่าวว่า mid-2019 เป็นต้นมา ต้องมี two patches เพื่อ install new Windows Updates สองตัวคือ KB4474419 (updated few times this year) และ KB4490628 ทั้งคู่ available ผ่าน Windows Update หรือ Catalog online
ผม no issue configuring KB4490628 แต่ KB4474419 kept failing ลอง multiple methods install simply wouldn't whatever เพื่อ save two days trial & error ให้ผม walk through quickly what I did so you won't have to
- Failure error cryptic applies hundred different things search this discover endless mayhem issues disk space permissions USB drives etc.
Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80004005: 2019-03 Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB4474419).
- Failure occurs whether standalone installer from Catalog or Windows Update ทั้ง user และ Administrator user same results ran Microsoft troubleshooter supposedly found errors fixed them but KB4474419 just wouldn't install

Verify hypothesis un-did dual-boot setup restored Windows MBR with mbr tool แล้ว changed partition boot flag using Gparted in Linux live session reboot only Windows available ran update again successful end result testing shows if you have dual-boot might face problems later revisions KB4474419 original March version didn't touch MBR works fine good all the way up to July/August with this update
