Pair your phone
System tray right-click > Configure opens familiar KDE Connect interface nightly build buttons not aligned nicely need healthy padding expected alpha-beta quality software not ready everyday use
Phone launch KDE Connect app desktop wizard should show phone request pairing done functionality (mostly) there
Does it work? Well?
Yes and no available plugins list long but don't all work experimental build things radically change between nightlies during testing encountered glitches example SMS applet wouldn't fully load show messages
Other hand file sharing worked smoothly both ways other other hand control volume via media applet but not actually see which media player running or what song played once or twice KDE Connect didn't close properly GUI vanished background process remained kill manually fully aware some functionality not there improvements on way this but state of nightly build

KDE Connect still not quite primetime ready Windows visual functional glitches but works better than expected because didn't expect anything nightly builds nice hidden little gem happy software making progress even if supposedly takes away unique killer features Linux gives freely then again lack Linux desktop dominance wasn't because lack or excess killer features so good thing overall
Eagerly waiting final product what kind experience Windows folks will have after all this may give further incentive try Plasma fact desktop environment making progress both mobile space and Windows desktop commendable time being KDE Connect still kind of rough beta quality but all in all cool thing stay tuned
