แก้ไข: Explorer.exe Error Class Not Registered

หลายผู้ใช้เจอปัญหาไม่สามารถเปิดแอปพลิเคชันต่างๆ ที่เกี่ยวกับ explorer.exe ได้ เช่น Outlook, Edge, Internet Explorer, Windows Explorer, และแม้แต่ Start Menu

Error นี้มักเกิดเมื่อ system files ของ 'explorer.exe' เสียหาย หรือมี wrong configuration System files อาจเสียหายจาก virus/malware ที่ antivirus ลบไฟล์ antivirus ไปพร้อมกับ system files บางตัว ทำให้ error เกิดขึ้น มีหลายวิธีแก้ไข ให้เริ่มจากวิธีแรกและลงมาตามลำดับ

วิธีที่ 1: Restart Windows Explorer

วิธีง่ายและเป็นหนึ่งใน easiest workaround คือ restart Windows Explorer ผ่าน Task Manager จะ reset configurations ทั้งหมดของ process

  1. กด Windows + R เปิด Run พิมพ์ "taskmgr" เปิด Task Manager
  2. คลิกแท็บ "Processes" บนสุด
  3. หา task Windows Explorer ในรายการ processes คลิกแล้วกดปุ่ม "Restart" ซ้ายล่าง

วิธีที่ 2: ปิด Internet Explorer 11

Workaround อีกอย่างที่แก้ได้คือ disable Explorer 11 ต้องการ administrator access และคอมพิวเตอร์อาจใช้เวลาบน boot ถัดไปในการ initialize services ให้อดทนรอ Windows

  1. กด Windows + R พิมพ์ "control panel" Enter
  2. ใน control panel เลือก "View by Large icons" ขวาบน แล้วเลือก subcategory "Programs and Features"
  3. เลือก "Turn Windows features on or off" ซ้ายบน
  4. Uncheck feature "Internet Explorer 11" UAC จะ popup ยืนยัน กด "Ok" และ restart
  5. Windows อาจต้องเวลาบน reboot ถัดไป ให้อดทนรอจบ

หมายเหตุ: อาจต้องทำ short update ต้องมี internet connection

วิธีที่ 3: เปิด Edge จาก App Listing

Workaround สั้นๆ หาก Edge รันไม่ได้ คือ re-run Edge จาก application listing หลีกเลี่ยง shortcuts ทั้งหมด Wild shot แต่ work บ้างเคส

  1. กดปุ่ม "Start" หรือคลิก Windows logo ซ้ายล่าง เปิด start menu
  2. คลิก "All apps" เปิด listing applications (รวม default)
  3. หา application ใน list คลิกเปิดดูว่ายังมี discrepancies หรือไม่

วิธีที่ 4: ตั้ง Edge เป็น Default Program

Workaround หากได้ error ตอนเปิด Edge คือตั้งเป็น default program ผู้ใช้ส่วนใหญ่ตั้ง Chrome ไว้ ดูเหมือนมี functionalities เกี่ยวข้อง สามารถ revert กลับได้

  1. คลิกขวา Start menu เลือก "Programs and Features"
  2. คลิก "Up arrow" ใกล้ address bar
  3. คลิก "Default Programs" sub-category
  4. เลือก "Set your default programs" เพื่อทำการเปลี่ยนแปลง
  5. ค้นหา "Microsoft edge" จาก left navigation pane คลิก "Set this program as default"
  6. คลิก "OK" เซฟและ restart ตอนนี้เช็คว่าปัญหายังคงอยู่หรือไม่

วิธีที่ 5: รัน System File Checker

System File Checker (SFC) เป็น utility ใน Windows ให้ user สแกน corrupt files ใน OS มีมาตั้งแต่ Windows 98 เครื่องมือ useful สำหรับ diagnose และเช็คว่า problem มาจาก corrupt files หรือไม่ จะรัน DISM command ด้วยหาก SFC แก้ไม่ได้

  1. กด Windows + R พิมพ์ "taskmgr" Enter เปิด Task Manager
  2. คลิก File ซ้ายบน เลือก "Run new task"
  3. พิมพ์ "PowerShell" และติ๊ก "Create this task with administrative privileges"
  4. ใน Windows Powershell พิมพ์ "sfc /scannow" Enter กระบวนการอาจใช้เวลา สแกน Windows files ทั้งหมด
  5. หากเจอ error ว่า Windows พบ error แต่ fix ไม่ได้ ให้พิมพ์ "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth" ใน PowerShell จะดาวน์โหลด corrupt files จาก Windows update servers และแทนที่ ไปใช้เวลาตาม internet อย่า cancel ให้รันจนเสร็จ

วิธีที่ 6: ปิด/Uninstall Antivirus Applications

ปรากฏว่า antivirus applications หลายตัว interfere กับ OS และเป็น root cause บาง antivirus อาจ quarantine directories ที่มี system files Antivirus ที่พบ: Panda, AVG, ฯลฯ หากใช้ StartIsBack ให้ uninstall

วิธีที่ 7: ปิด iCloud และ Services

มีรายงานว่า error เกิดจาก iCloud application มีประวัติ conflict กับ Windows OS ต้อง disable ไม่ให้ run at startup ผ่าน task manager และปิด related processes ทั้งหมด สามารถ revert ได้

  1. กด Windows + R พิมพ์ "taskmgr" Enter
  2. คลิกแท็บ "Startup" หา iCloud จาก processes คลิกขวา "Disable"
  3. Restart และเช็คว่าแก้ได้หรือไม่

หมายเหตุ: ลอง end iCloud processes ทั้งหมดที่รันอยู่ผ่าน task manager ด้วย

วิธีที่ 8: ติดตั้ง Latest Windows Updates

Windows ออก updates สำคัญสำหรับ bug fixes หากยังไม่ update แนะนำให้ update Windows 10 OS ใหม่ใช้เวลานานถึงจะสมบูรณ์ ยังมี issues pending เยอะ Microsoft ออก frequent updates

  1. กด Windows + S พิมพ์ "Windows update" คลิกผลลัพธ์แรก
  2. ใน update settings คลิก "Check for updates" Windows check และติดตั้งอัตโนมัติ อาจ prompt restart
  3. หลัง update restart และเช็คว่าแก้ได้หรือไม่

วิธีที่ 9: System Restore / Clean Install

ถ้าวิธีข้างต้นหมดไม่ได้ผล ไม่มีทาง אלאก restore Windows ไป restore point ล่าสุด หากไม่มี restore point ให้ clean install Windows ใช้ utility "Belarc" บันทึก licenses, backup ข้อมูลด้วย external storage แล้ว clean install

หมายเหตุ: Backup ข้อมูลก่อนทำ external hard drive หรือ USB

วิธี restore จาก restore point ล่าสุด:

  1. กด Windows + S พิมพ์ "restore" เลือกโปรแกรมแรก
  2. ใน restore settings กด System Restore ต้นหน้าภายใต้แท็บ System Protection
  3. Wizard เปิดนำทาง กด Next ทำตามคำแนะนำ
  4. เลือก restore point จากรายการ หากมีมากกว่าหนึ่งจะแสดงทั้งหมด
  5. Windows ยืนยันอีกครั้ง เซฟงาน backup ไฟล์สำคัญ และดำเนินการต่อ
  6. หลัง restore สำเร็จ login และเช็คว่า error แก้ได้หรือไม่

วิธีที่ 10: Tweaks กับ ExplorerFrame.dll file

ExplorerFrame.dll มี resources ที่ explorer.exe ใช้ เช่น bitmaps, icons, menus หาก file นี้ไม่ได้ registered (จาก software glitch) หรือ corrupt จะทำให้ explorer.exe error Re-register ExplorerFrame.dll อาจแก้ได้

  1. คลิกปุ่ม Windows (ซ้ายล่าง) พิมพ์ Command Prompt ใน search results คลิกขวา Command Prompt คลิก Run as Administrator
  2. UAC prompt คลิก Yes
  3. ใน Command Prompt พิมพ์
    regsvr32 ExplorerFrame.dll
    และกด Enter
  4. Restart system และเช็คว่า explorer.exe problem แก้ได้หรือไม่
  5. หากไม่ได้ copy ExplorerFrame.dll จาก Windows PC อื่นที่ทำงานได้ หรือจาก internet (ไม่แนะนำ) วางใน problematic system Path:
    C:\Windows\System32 and \SystemWOW64

วิธีที่ 11: สร้าง Local Administrator Account ใหม่

ทุก user account ใน Windows มี settings และ preferences เฉพาะสำหรับ apps และ system options หาก local Windows profile/account corrupt อาจเป็นสาเหตุ "Error Class Not Registered" สร้าง user profile/account ใหม่อาจแก้ได้ หมายเหตุ: จะลบ preferences ปัจจุบันทั้งหมด ต้องตั้งใหม่

  1. สร้าง local user account/profile ใหม่สำหรับ Windows
  2. เช็คว่าใช้ระบบได้โดยไม่มี issue หากได้ โอน user preferences ไป account ใหม่

วิธีที่ 12: Reset Windows

ถ้าอะไรก็ไม่ช่วย Reset Windows อาจแก้ได้ Windows 10 มี functionality ให้ user reset ระบบเป็น default settings ลบ applications/drivers ที่ user ติดตั้ง ไม่ต้องกังวลไฟล์ จะมี option keep หรือ remove

  1. Reset Windows
  2. เช็คว่า system clear ของ class not registered error หรือไม่
