เพื่อนติดตั้งโปรแกรม ได้ Blue Screen รีสตาร์ท แล้วรันโปรแกรมอื่น ได้ Error:
The Windows Installer service could not be accessed. This can occur if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed.
หากเจอ Error นี้ใน Windows ลองวิธีต่อไปนี้:
วิธี 1 – ตรวจสอบ Windows Installer Service ว่าทำงานอยู่
บางครั้ง Service Disabled ทำให้ Error เปิดได้ที่ Start > Run พิมพ์ Services.msc (Windows ใหม่พิมพ์ services.msc ใน Start)
หา Windows Installer ดับเบิลคลิก ตั้ง Startup Type = Manual Apply > Start
หรือ Start > Run พิมพ์ net start MSIServer
วิธี 2 – ลบ MSIEXEC ที่ไม่มี Extension
บางครั้งมีไฟล์ msiexec ตัวที่สองใน C:\Windows\system32 ไม่มี Extension ขนาด 0 KB (ปกติมีแค่ msiexec.exe)
หากพบ ให้ Rename ตัวเก่าเป็น .OLD แล้ว Restart Windows Installer Service (Services > Windows Installer > Restart)
วิธี 3 – แก้ Remote Procedure Call Service
บางครั้งมาจาก Service Remote Procedure Call ไป Services (services.msc) คลิกขวา Remote Procedure Call (ไม่ใช่ RPC Locator) > Properties
แท็บ Log On ใต้ Log on as: เลือก Local System Account ติ๊ก Allow this service to interact with the desktop Restart เครื่อง
หาไม่ได้ ให้เลือก This account: Browse หา Network Service OK รหัสผ่านจะเติมเอง อย่าแก้
Restart อีกครั้ง หาก Local System Account แก้ได้ อยู่ที่เดิม ไม่ต้องเปลี่ยนเป็น NetworkService
วิธี 4 – Reinstall Windows Installer Service
ยังไม่ได้ โหลด Windows Installer Service มาติดตั้งใหม่ (ไอรอนนี่!) ทำหากไม่เห็น Service ใน Services หรือวิธีอื่นไม่ได้
ดาวน์โหลด MSIServer Package จาก WinHelpOnline แตกไฟล์ คลิกขวา .REG > Merge > Yes เพิ่ม Registry Keys ที่จำเป็น
วิธี 5 – ติดตั้ง Windows Installer เวอร์ชันล่าสุด
ค้นหา "Windows Installer" ใน Google ดาวน์โหลดเวอร์ชันล่าสุดจาก Microsoft ป้องกัน Conflict จากเวอร์ชันเก่า
