แก้ Microsoft Defender Error 0x80004004 บน Windows 11/10

ตอนอัปเดต Microsoft Defender (Windows Defender เดิม) เจอ Error 0x80004004 ไม่สามารถดาวน์โหลด Definition Updates จาก Microsoft ได้

Error 0x80004004: This app couldn't check for virus and spyware definition updates. The definition updates couldn't be installed

สาเหตุ

• Antivirus ตัวที่ 3 ติดตั้งอยู่ → Conflict กัน Defender อัปเดต
• System Files หาย/เสีย
• Internet Connection ไม่ดี

วิธีแก้ Error 0x80004004

1. Set Windows Defender Service เป็น Automatic
2. Disable Antivirus ตัวที่ 3 ชั่วคราว
3. Manual Update Defender ผ่าน Command Prompt
4. ดาวน์โหลด Definition Package โดยตรง

1. Set Windows Defender Service เป็น Automatic

1. Win+R → services.msc
2. หา Microsoft Defender Antivirus Service
3. Double-click → Startup Type: Automatic → Apply → OK
4. Restart → ลองอัปเดตใหม่

2. Disable Antivirus ตัวที่ 3 ชั่วคราว

ปิด Antivirus ตัวที่ 3 → อัปเดต Defender → เปิด Antivirus กลับ

3. Manual Update ผ่าน Command Prompt

1. Win+R → cmd (Admin)
2. รัน:

cd /d "\Program Files\Windows Defender"
mpcmdrun.exe -signatureupdate

หรือใช้ PowerShell อัปเดตได้เช่นกัน

4. ดาวน์โหลด Definition Package โดยตรง

โหลดไฟล์ Definition ล่าสุดจาก Microsoft → Double-click ติดตั้ง (Silent Install - ไม่มี UI แต่งานพื้นหลัง)
