วิธีแก้ปัญหา Windows Update บน Windows 7/8/8.1 & Server 2008/2012
สำคัญ:
1. ก่อนใช้วิธีด้านล่าง Troubleshoot Window Update Problems ให้แน่ใจว่า Date และ Time Settings ถูกต้อง บนระบบ
2. ลองเทคนิคนี้: เปลี่ยน Windows Update Settings จาก "Install updates automatically" เป็น "Never check for updates (not recommended)" & Restart ระบบ หลัง Restart ตั้งกลับเป็น "Install updates automatically" แล้ว Check Updates . หากล้มเหลว ตั้งเป็น "Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them" แล้ว Check อีกครั้ง
3. หาก Fresh Install Windows 7 หรือ Server 2008 ให้ติดตั้ง Service Pack 1 สำหรับ Windows 7 หรือ Windows Server 2008 R2 ก่อนต่อ
4. ให้แน่ใจว่าเครื่องสะอาดจาก Virus และ Malware ใช้ Malware Scan and Removal Guide เช็คและลบ Virus/โปรแกรมอันตรายที่อาจรันอยู่

วิธีที่ 1: บังคับให้ Windows สร้าง Windows Update Store Folder ใหม่
โฟลเดอร์ Windows Update Store (รู้จักกันว่า "SoftwareDistribution" Folder) คือที่เก็บ Updates ที่ดาวน์โหลด
- หาก SoftwareDistribution Folder เสียหาย จะก่อให้เกิดปัญหา Windows Update วิธีแก้ที่มีประสิทธิภาพคือสร้าง SoftwareDistribution Folder ใหม่ วิธีทำ:
1. กด Windows 
+ R เปิด Run Command Box
2. ใน Run Box พิมพ์: services.msc กด Enter
3. คลิกขวา Windows Update Service เลือก Stop
4. เปิด Windows Explorer ไป C:\Windows Folder
5. เลือกและ Delete โฟลเดอร์ "SoftwareDistribution"*
(คลิก Continue ที่หน้าต่าง "Folder Access Denied")
* หมายเหตุ: ครั้งหน้าที่ Windows Update รัน โฟลเดอร์ SoftwareDistribution ใหม่ว่างจะถูกสร้างโดย Windows อัตโนมัติเก็บ Updates
6. Restart คอมพิวเตอร์ แล้วลอง Check Updates
วิธีที่ 2: ติดตั้ง KB3102810 (KB3102812) Security Update
เคยเห็นหลายครั้ง Windows Update Checking Updates นานตลอด (ค้าง) หา Updates ไม่ได้ แม้ Fresh Install Windows 8, 7, Vista ดีที่ Microsoft เปลี่ยน Security Update แก้ปัญหา "Installing and searching for updates is slow and CPU utilization is high" วิธี Apply Fix:
ขั้นตอนที่ 1: ติดตั้ง Internet Explorer 11 *
* หมายเหตุ: ขั้นตอนนี้ใช้ได้เฉพาะ Fresh Windows 7 หรือ Windows 2008 Install หาก IE11 ติดตั้งแล้ว ข้ามไปขั้นตอนที่ 2
1. ดาวน์โหลดและติดตั้ง Internet Explorer 11 ตาม OS Version
2. Restart คอมพิวเตอร์
ขั้นตอนที่ 2: ติดตั้ง KB3102810 Update
1. ดาวน์โหลด แต่ยังไม่ติดตั้ง Security Update ต่อไปตาม OS Version ไปที่คอมพิวเตอร์:
- Windows 7 & Server 2008: KB3102810
- Windows 8.1 & Server 2012: KB31028102
2. หลังดาวน์โหลด Restart คอมพิวเตอร์
3. หลัง Restart ทันที ติดตั้ง Security Update มิฉะนั้นการติดตั้งจะค้าง
4. หลังติดตั้ง Restart คอมพิวเตอร์
ขั้นตอนที่ 3: ลบ SoftwareDistribution Folder
1. ทำตาม Method-1 ลบ โฟลเดอร์ "SoftwareDistribution"
2. Restart คอมพิวเตอร์
2. ไป Windows Update Check Updates ให้รันอย่างน้อยครึ่งชั่วโมงถึงหนึ่งชั่วโมง หากโชคดี Windows จะหา Updates ทั้งหมด
วิธีที่ 3: ติดตั้ง Latest Update Rollup แก้ปัญหา Windows Update
Windows Update Rollups ในกรณีส่วนใหญ่แก้ปัญหา Windows Update ได้ แต่ก่อนติดตั้ง Latest Rollup ให้เปลี่ยนวิธีติดตั้ง Updates เป็น "Never check for updates (not recommended)" วิธีทำ:
1. กด Windows 
+ R เปิด Run Command Box
2. ใน Run Box พิมพ์: wuapp.exe กด Enter
3. เลือก Change Settings ด้านซ้าย
4. ตั้ง Never check for updates (not recommended)
6. ดาวน์โหลด Latest Windows Update Rollup สำหรับระบบ แต่ยังไม่ติดตั้ง (yet)

วิธีที่ 4: รัน Windows Update Troubleshooter
Microsoft มี Windows Update Troubleshooter Tool ให้เพื่อแก้ปัญหา Windows Update
1. ไป Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Troubleshooting > Fix Problems with Windows Update
2. คลิก Next ให้ Windows พยายามแก้ปัญหา Update

วิธีที่ 5: ซ่อม System Files และ Services ที่เสียหาย (SFC)
วิธีถัดไปแก้ปัญหา Windows Update คือรัน System File Checker (SFC) Tool ซ่อมไฟล์และ Services ของ Windows ที่เสียหาย วิธีทำ:
1. เปิด Elevated Command Prompt:
- คลิกขวา Windows Start Button
เลือก Command Prompt (Admin)
2. ใน Command Window พิมพ์คำสั่ง กด Enter:
- SFC /SCANNOW
3. รอ และ อย่าใช้คอมพิวเตอร์ จนกว่า SFC Tool จะเช็คและซ่อม System Files/Services ที่เสียหาย
4. SFC Tool เสร็จ Reboot คอมพิวเตอร์ Check Updates
วิธีที่ 6: แก้ Windows Corruption Errors ด้วย System Update Readiness Tool (DISM)
System Update Readiness Tool เป็น Microsoft Tool ที่แก้ Windows Corruption Errors
Windows 7, Vista & Server 2008:
1. ดาวน์โหลดและ Save ไป Desktop System Update Readiness Tool ตาม Windows Version
2. Double Click ติดตั้งไฟล์ที่ดาวน์โหลด (เช่น Windows6.1-KB947821-v34-x86.msu)
3. ติดตั้งเสร็จ Restart คอมพิวเตอร์ ลองติดตั้ง Windows Updates
Windows 8, 8.1 & Server 2012:
1. คลิกขวา Windows Start Button เลือก Command Prompt (Admin)
2. ที่ Command Prompt พิมพ์คำสั่ง & กด Enter:
- Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth
3.อดทนจน DISM ซ่อม Component Store
4. Operation เสร็จ ควรแจ้งว่า Component Store Corruption Repaired แล้ว
5. ปิด Command Prompt Restart คอมพิวเตอร์
6. Check Updates
วิธีที่ 7: Update Windows ด้วย WSUS Offline Update Tool (Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7)
1. ดาวน์โหลด Latest Version ของ WSUS Offline Update Utility
2. หลังดาวน์โหลด Extract "wsusoffline.zip" File
3. จากโฟลเดอร์ "wususoffline" Double Click UpdateGenerator.exe Application
4. แท็บ Windows เลือก Windows Edition ที่ใช้
5. กด Start Button
6. อดทนจน WSUS Offline Update Utility ดาวน์โหลด Updates ทั้งหมด
7. ดาวน์โหลดเสร็จ เปิดโฟลเดอร์ client (wsusoffline\client) Double Click "UpdateInstaller.exe" Application
8. ติ๊ก "Automatic reboot and recall" Checkbox
9. กด Start Button รอจน WSUS Offline Update Installer ติดตั้ง Updates ที่ดาวน์โหลดมาให้ระบบ
