วิธีแก้ System Restore Error 0x81000204

1. Run CHKDSK
2. Run SFC Scan
3. Perform DISM Scan
4. Reset System Restore Settings (CMD)
5. Reset Repository (WMI)
6. Run System Restore in Safe Mode / Clean Boot
7. ใช้ Backup Software ตัวที่สาม
8. Reset This PC / Cloud Reset / Repair Install

1. Run CHKDSK

1. Win+R cmd Ctrl+Shift+Enter (Admin)
2. chkdsk /x /f /r
3. กด Y จัดตารางเช็คตอน Restart
4. Restart รอ CHKDSK เสร็จ

2. Run SFC Scan

CMD (Admin): sfc /scannow แล้วลอง System Restore ใหม่

3. Perform DISM Scan

CMD (Admin): Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth รอเสร็จ Restart

4. Reset System Restore Settings (CMD)

CMD (Admin) รันคำสั่งชุดนี้:

reg delete "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\SystemRestore" /v "DisableSR" /f
reg delete "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\SystemRestore" /v "DisableConfig" /f
reg add "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SPP\Clients" /v "{09F7EDC5-294E-4180-AF6A-FB0E6A0E9513}" /t REG_MULTI_SZ /d "1" /f
schtasks /Change /TN "Microsoft\Windows\SystemRestore\SR" /Enable
vssadmin Resize ShadowStorage /For=C: /On=C: /Maxsize=25GB
sc config wbengine start= demand
sc config swprv start= demand
sc config vds start= demand
sc config VSS start= demand

Restart แล้วลองใหม่

5. Reset Repository (WMI)

เหมือน Error 0x80070005: Safe Mode > net stop winmgmt > Rename repository > Restart > net stop winmgmt > winmgmt /resetRepository > Restart

6. Safe Mode / Clean Boot

บูท Safe Mode ลอง Create/Restore Point หรือ Clean Boot ปิด Non-Microsoft Services

7. Backup Software ตัวที่สาม

ใช้โปรแกรม Backup/Imaging ตัวอื่นแทน (Macrium Reflect, Veeam, ฯลฯ)

8. Reset This PC / Cloud Reset / Repair Install

หาไม่ได้ = System Corrupt รุนแรง ใช้ Reset This PC (Cloud Download) หรือ Repair ด้วย Installation Media
