แก้ไข: Fortnite "Video Driver Crashed and Was Reset" (TDR Error)

สาเหตุ Fortnite Video Driver Crashed and Was Reset

ข้อผิดพลาดนี้คือ TDR (Timeout Detection and Recovery) ของ Windows ตัดการทำงานของ GPU เพราะไม่ตอบสนองภายในเวลาที่กำหนด (Default 2 วินาที) สาเหตุ: Setting เกมสูงเกิน GPU, ไดรเวอร์ GPU เก่า/ชน, ไฟล์ Config เกมเสีย, TDR Timeout สั้นเกินไป, Overclock ไม่เสถียร, PSU ไม่พอ

วิธีแก้ Fortnite Video Driver Crashed

วิธี 1: ลด Graphics Settings ใน Fortnite (ทดลองก่อนทุกอย่าง)

Settings > Video > Advanced:

  • Display Resolution: Native Monitor Resolution (1920x1080)
  • Quality Preset: Low หรือ Medium
  • View Distance: Medium / Far
  • Shadows: Off
  • Anti-Aliasing: Off
  • Textures: Low / Medium
  • Effects: Low
  • Post Processing: Low
  • Show FPS: On
  • VSync: Off (เปิด G-Sync/FreeSync ใน Control Panel แทน)
  • Motion Blur: Off
  • Ray Tracing: Off (ถ้าเปิดอยู่)

วิธี 2: แก้ไข GameUserSettings.ini (Read-only Fix - แก้ได้เยอะมาก)

  1. Win + R > %localappdata% > Enter
  2. เข้า: FortniteGame > Saved > Config > WindowsClient
  3. ขวา GameUserSettings.ini > Properties > Uncheck Read-only > Apply
  4. เปิดไฟล์ด้วย Notepad
  5. หา [D3DRHIPreference] (อยู่ท้ายไฟล์)
  6. บรรทัดด้านล่าง จะเป็น PreferredRHI=...True หรือ D3D12Supported=True -> เปลี่ยน True เป็น False
  7. Save (Ctrl+S) > ปิด Notepad
  8. ขวา GameUserSettings.ini > Properties > Check Read-only > Apply (Lock ไฟล์กันเกมเขียนทับ)

สิ่งนี้บังคับให้ Fortnite ใช้ DirectX 11 แทน DirectX 12 (ซึ่งมักทำให้ TDR บนการ์ดจอรุ่นเก่า/กลาง)

วิธี 3: อัปเดต/Reinstall ไดรเวอร์ GPU (Clean Install)

  • NVIDIA: GeForce Experience > Custom Install > Clean Installation (Game Ready Driver)
  • AMD: Adrenalin > Factory Reset / Clean Install
  • Best: ใช้ DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) ใน Safe Mode ลบเก่า > ติดตั้งใหม่

วิธี 4: เพิ่มค่า TdrDelay ใน Registry (แก้ Root Cause ของ TDR)

  1. Win + R > regedit (Run as Administrator)
  2. ไป: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers
  3. หา/สร้าง DWORD (32-bit): TdrDelay
  4. Value (Decimal): 8 (เพิ่มจาก 2 เป็น 8 วินาที)
  5. OK > Restart PC

ค่านี้บอก Windows รอ GPU นานขึ้นก่อน Reset ป้องกัน Crash ระหว่างโหลด Shader/Texture หนัก

วิธี 5: ตรวจสอบ Overclock / Power / Temp

  • Reset GPU Overclock (MSI Afterburner > Reset)
  • Power Limit: 100% (Default)
  • Temp Limit: 83°C (Default)
  • Fan Curve: Aggressive (รักษาอุณหภูมิ < 75°C โหลด)
  • PSU: ต้องพอ (RTX 3060 = 550W+, 3070/4070 = 650W+, 3080/4080 = 750W+)

วิธี 6: รัน Fortnite / Epic Games Launcher As Administrator

  1. ขวา Shortcut Epic Games Launcher > Properties > Compatibility > Run as Administrator
  2. ขวา Shortcut Fortnite (ถ้ามี) / FortniteClient-Win64-Shipping.exe > Properties > Compatibility > Run as Administrator

วิธี 7: Verify / Reinstall Fortnite

  1. Epic Games Launcher > Library > Fortnite > ... > Verify
  2. ยังไม่ได้: Uninstall > Reinstall

สรุปลำดับที่แนะนำ (แก้ได้เร็วที่สุด): 1 (Low Settings) → 2 (GameUserSettings.ini Read-only + D3D11 Force) → 3 (Clean GPU Driver) → 4 (TdrDelay=8) → 5 (Reset OC/Power/Temp) → 6 (Run as Admin) → 7 (Verify/Reinstall) วิธี 2+4 แก้ Root Cause TDR ได้ดีที่สุด
