เมื่อพยายาม Join คอมพิวเตอร์ Windows เข้า Domain ที่มีอยู่ อาจได้ Error "The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted" บทความระบุสาเหตุและวิธีแก้ที่เหมาะสม Error prompt แสดงหลังใส่ Username และ Password
Error มักเกิดจาก DNS Settings ผิดบน Workstation เพราะ Active Directory ต้องใช้ Domain DNS (ไม่ใช่ Router's address) Error ยังอาจเกิดจาก IPv6 (ถ้าตั้งค่า) ไม่ทำงาน
The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted
สมมติ Active Directory Domain Controller (และ DNS Server) เป็น Windows Server รับผิดชอบ Local Domain มี IP 123.123.123.123 ตัวอย่างนี้ IP และ Preferred DNS บน Primary Domain Controller ต้องเหมือนกัน มิฉะนั้นจะเจอปัญหา
หากเจอ The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted บน Client Windows 11/10 ที่พยายาม Join Domain ลองวิธีต่อไปนี้
- ตั้ง Preferred DNS IP ให้ตรง Domain Controller IP บน Client Workstation
- ระบุ WINS Server IP บน Client Machine
- แก้ไขค่า SysVolReady Registry Key บน Domain Controller
1. ตั้ง Preferred DNS IP ให้ตรง Domain Controller IP บน Client Workstation
วิธีแก้คือตั้ง Preferred DNS IP ชี้ไปที่ Primary Domain Controller IP บน Client Workstation ทุกเครื่องที่จะ Join Domain
ขั้นตอน:
- กด Windows key + R เปิด Run
- พิมพ์ ncpa.cpl กด Enter เปิด Network and Sharing Center
- คลิกขวา Local Area Connection เลือก Properties
- ดับเบิลคลิก Internet Protocol TCP/IPv4
- เปลี่ยน Preferred DNS server ให้ตรง Primary Domain Controller IP (รัน IPConfig ดู IP ที่แน่นอน)
- ติ๊ก Validate settings upon exit
- คลิก OK ทุกหน้าต่าง
ตอนนี้ Join Workstation เข้า Domain ได้โดยไม่เจอ Error
2. ระบุ WINS Server IP บน Client Machine
ใช้วิธีนี้หาก AD Domain Controller ทำหน้าที่ WINS Server ด้วย ตั้ง WINS IP ชี้ไป WINS Server (Primary Domain Controller IP) บน Client ที่จะ Join Domain
หมายเหตุ: วิธีนี้ทำงานได้แม้ Primary DC ไม่ใช่ WINS Server
ขั้นตอน:
- เปิด Network and Sharing Center
- คลิกขวา Local Area Connection เลือก Properties
- ดับเบิลคลิก Internet Protocol TCP/IPv4
- คลิก Advanced
- คลิกแท็บ WINS
- คลิก Add
- ใน WINS server พิมพ์ IP ของ WINS Server
- คลิก Add
- คลิก OK ทุกหน้าต่าง
ตอนนี้ Join Workstation เข้า Domain ได้โดยไม่เจอ Error
3. แก้ไขค่า SysVolReady Registry Key บน Domain Controller
SysVolReady แสดงสถานะ Replication ของ System Volume บน Domain Controller Entry นี้ปรากฏใน Registry ของ DC เท่านั้น ตั้งค่าขึ้นโดย DcPromo, Backup, และ File Replication Service (FRS) เพื่อบ่งบอกสถานะ Replication ของ SYSVOL share ระหว่าง Replication System Volume ไม่ได้ Share และ DC ไม่ตอบสนอง DSGetDcName calls
Entry นี้แจ้งระบบว่า SYSVOL Replication เสร็จแล้ว หาก FRS มีปัญหาป้องกันไม่ให้ Reset ค่าอัตโนมัติหลัง Replication สามารถเปลี่ยนค่าเป็น 1 ผ่าน Registry Editor
เนื่องจากเป็นการแก้ Registry แนะนำ Backup Registry หรือสร้าง System Restore Point ก่อน แล้วทำต่อ:
- กด Windows key + R เปิด Run
- พิมพ์ regedit กด Enter เปิด Registry Editor
- ไปที่ Registry Key Path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Netlogon\Parameters
- ที่ตำแหน่งนี้ ด้านขวา ดับเบิลคลิก SysVolReady เพื่อแก้ไข
- ใส่ 1 ใน Value data
ค่า 1 = System Volume ไม่ได้ Replicate - Volume ถูก Share
ค่า 0 = System Volume กำลัง Replicate หรือรับ Updates ไม่ได้ Share
- คลิก OK หรือกด Enter บันทึก
- ปิด Registry Editor
- อาจต้อง Reboot Domain Controller
หลัง DC Restart สามารถ Join Client Machine เข้า Domain สำเร็จ
