แก้ Windows Update Error 0x8000FFFF

Error 0x8000FFFF เป็นรหัส Error ยอดนิยมบน Windows ปัจจุบัน เกิดหลัง Windows Update ลงไม่ได้ ผ่าน Windows Update เกิดทั้ง Windows 10 และ 11

จากการศึกษาปัญหา พบสาเหตุหลายอย่าง:

• WU Glitch ทั่วไป: รัน Windows Update Troubleshooter อาจแก้ได้อัตโนมัติ
• WU Dependencies เสียหาย: รัน SFC และ DISM ติดต่อกัน ควรแก้ได้ส่วนใหญ่
• Bad Update: Update ตัวนั้นมีปัญหา/ชนกับ Driver → ซ่อน Update นั้นรอ Hotfix
• ข้อมูลชนกันใน Hosts File: ล้าง Hosts File แล้วแก้ได้ (รายงานจาก User Windows 11)
• ปัญหา Local WU Component: ไฟล์ WU เสียหาย → ใช้ Media Creation Tool อัปเดตแทน
• 3rd Party AV รบกวน: AV รุ่นฟรี (Avira, Avast, McAfee) Signature เก่า บล็อก Update → อัปเดต AV หรือปิด/Uninstall
• SoftwareDistribution และ Catroot2 เสียหาย: โฟลเดอร์ทั้งสองเสียหาย → Rename โฟลเดอร์ เพื่อบังคับสร้างใหม่
• WU Interface ชำรุด: บังคับ Update ผ่าน PowerShell (wuauclt.exe /UPDATENOW)
• WU Dependencies ถูกปิด: Optimizer ปิด Service WU → เปิด Service ให้ครบ
• WU Policy ชนกัน: Policy "Turn off auto-restart for updates during active hours" ใน gpedit.msc → ปิด Policy นี้
• System File Corruption ร้ายแรง: ไม่แก้ได้ด้วยวิธีข้างต้น → Repair Install หรือ Clean Install เท่านั้น

รัน Windows Update Troubleshooter

เริ่มจาก Troubleshooter built-in Windows 10/11 มีกลยุทธ์แก้ไขอัตโนมัติมากมาย

1. Windows + R → พิมพ์ ms-settings:troubleshoot → Enter
2. แท็บ Troubleshooting → ขวา ลงมา Get up and running → Windows Update
3. คลิก Run the troubleshooter
4. รอสแกน → คลิก Apply this fix (อาจมีขั้นตอนเพิ่มเติม)
5. Restart → ทดสอบ

รัน SFC และ DISM Scans

Troubleshooter ไม่ได้ → ต้องการซ่อม System File Corruption

รัน SFC ก่อน (ง่ายกว่า ไม่ต้องอินเทอร์เน็ต) → รอเสร็จ → Restart → ทดสอบ

สำคัญ: อย่าปิด CMD ระหว่างรัน SFC แม้ดูเหมือนค้าง → อาจทำ Logical Errors บน HDD/SSD

ยังไม่ได้ → รัน DISM (ต้องอินเทอร์เน็ต เพราะใช้ WU ดาวน์โหลดไฟล์แทนที่)

Restart → ทดสอบ → ยังไม่ได้ ไปวิธีถัดไป

ซ่อน Update ที่มีปัญหา (Hide the inconsistent update)

Error 0x8000FFFF บางครั้งมาจาก Update ที่ชนกับ Driver → ซ่อน Update นั้นรอ Hotfix

1. ดาวน์โหลดติดตั้ง Microsoft Show or Hide troubleshooter package จาก Link 官方
2. เปิด → Advanced → ติ๊ก Apply Repairs Automatically
3. Next → รอสแกน Update → คลิก Hide Updates
4. เลือก Update ที่จะซ่อน → Next
5. รอเสร็จ → Reboot → ทดสอบ

ล้าง Hosts File (Clear the Host file)

Hosts File มี Entry ชนกัน → Error 0x8000FFFF (มากใน Windows 11) ล้าง Hosts File หรือ Reset เป็น Default

1. Windows + R → พิมพ์ C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc → Enter
2. แท็บ View → เปิด File Name Extensions
3. คลิกขวา hosts → Rename
4. เติม .old ท้ายชื่อ → Enter (บังคับ OS สร้างไฟล์ใหม่)
5. Reboot → ทดสอบ Update อีกครั้ง

อัปเดตผ่าน Media Creation Tool

Local WU ชำรุด ไม่อยาก Troubleshoot นาน → ใช้ Media Creation Tool อัปเดตแทน

1. ไปหน้าดาวน์โหลด Media Creation Tool (Windows 10 หรือ 11)
2. คลิก Download Now (Create Windows 11 Installation Media) → รอดาวน์โหลด
3. รันแบบ Admin → ตามขั้นตอนอัปเดต

อัปเดต 3rd Party AV ให้ใหม่ที่สุด

AV รุ่นฟรี Signature เก่า บล็อก Windows Update → อัปเดต AV และ Virus Definitions

Reboot → ทดสอบ → ยังไม่ได้ ไปขั้นตอนถัดไป

ปิด หรือ Uninstall 3rd Party AV

อัปเดต AV แล้วยัง Error → AV บล็อกการสื่อสาร Update Server McAfee, Avast, Comodo มักถูกกล่าวหา → ปิด Real-time Protection → ทดสอบ

ยัง Error → Uninstall AV เลย (โดยเฉพาะที่มี Firewall built-in เพราะกฎความปลอดภัยยังทำงานอยู่แม้ปิด Real-time) → Uninstall ให้สะอาด (ลบ Leftover ด้วย) → อ่านบทความ "completely uninstalling 3rd party AV"

Reset SoftwareDistribution และ Catroot2

WU Inconsistency หยุดการอัปเดต (หลาย Update Fail ด้วย Error เดียวกัน) → Reset โฟลเดอร์ทั้งสอง

1. Windows + R → cmd → Ctrl + Shift + Enter (Admin CMD)
2. UAC → Yes
3. รันคำสั่งหยุด Service:

   net stop wuauserv
   net stop cryptSvc
   net stop bits
   net stop msiserver

4. Rename โฟลเดอร์:

   ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
   ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old

5. Start Service กลับ:

   net start wuauserv
   net start cryptSvc
   net start bits
   net start msiserver

6. ทดสอบ Update อีกครั้ง

บังคับติดตั้ง Update ผ่าน PowerShell

วิธีข้างต้นไม่ได้ → บังคับ Update ผ่าน PowerShell (หลายคนยืนยันได้ผล)

1. Windows + R → powershell → Ctrl + Shift + Enter (Admin PowerShell)
2. UAC → Yes
3. รัน: wuauclt.exe /UPDATENOW
4. รอเสร็จ → Restart → เช็ค WU

ตั้งค่า WU-related Services ใหม่ (Reconfigure WU Services)

Service WU บางตัวถูก Disable → Error ต้อง Enable ทั้งหมด

• Background Intelligent Transfer Service
• COM+ Event System
• DCOM Server Process Launcher
• Windows Update
• Remote Procedure Call (RPC)

1. Windows + R → services.msc → Enter
2. ตรวจสอบ Service ทั้ง 5 ตัว → คลิกขวา หากมี Start แสดงว่าถูก Disable → คลิก Start
3. โบนัส: Double-click แต่ละ Service → แท็บ General → Startup type: Automatic
4. ทดสอบ Update

ติดตั้ง Update ด้วยตนเอง (Manually install failing update)

หลีกเลี่ยง Local WU → ดาวน์โหลด Update เองจาก Microsoft Update Catalog

สำคัญ: ไม่ได้แก้ Root Cause WU ยังคงมีปัญหา อาจเกิดซ้ำกับ Update ตัวอื่น

1. เช็ค OS Architecture (32/64-bit): File Explorer → คลิกขวา This PC → Properties → About → Device specifications → System type
2. ไป Microsoft Update Catalog → ค้นหา Update ที่ Fail (จาก Error Code)
3. เลือก Architecture ถูกต้อง → Download
4. เปิดไฟล์ .msu/.ini ใน Downloads → ติดตั้ง
5. Reboot → ทดสอบ

ปิด Policy "Turn off auto-restart for updates during active hours"

Windows Pro/Enterprise มี gpedit.msc Policy นี้อาจทำให้ Error

1. Windows + R → gpedit.msc → Enter
2. ไป:

   Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update

3. Double-click Turn off auto-restart for updates during active hours
4. ตั้งเป็น Disabled → Reboot

Repair Install / Clean Install

ทุกวิธีไม่ได้ → System File Corruption ร้ายแรง → Reset ทุก Component

• Clean Install: ไม่มีข้อมูลสำคัญบน C: ง่าย แต่สูญเสียข้อมูลทั้งหมด (Backup ก่อน) ไม่ต้องการ Installation Media
• Repair Install (In-place Upgrade): ต้องมี Installation Media เฉพาะไฟล์ Windows ถูกแก้ไข ข้อมูลส่วนตัว/ตั้งค่า/แอป/เกม คงอยู่
