แก้ไข: Cumulative Update December 2020 (KB4592438) ติดตั้งไม่สำเร็จ

Windows 10 Update KB4592438 อาจติดตั้งไม่สำเร็จ หาก Services ที่จำเป็นอยู่ใน Error State หรือ Temp Files เสียหาย/พื้นที่จัดเก็บไม่พอ

ผู้ใช้เจอปัญหาเมื่อพยายามอัปเดต KB4592438 แต่ติดตั้งล้มเหลว (บางคนล้มเหลวที่ 100%)

แก้ไข: Cumulative Update December 2020 (KB4592438) ติดตั้งไม่สำเร็จ

ก่อนลองวิธีแก้: ติดตั้ง Pending Updates ทั้งหมด (รวม Optional) แล้วลองอัปเดตใหม่

วิธี 1: Start/Restart WMI และ IP Helper Services

WMI และ IP Helper Services จำเป็นต่อการอัปเดต หาก Disabled หรือ Error State ให้ Enable/Restart:

  1. ค้นหา Services > Right-click > Run as Administratorแก้ไข: Cumulative Update December 2020 (KB4592438) ติดตั้งไม่สำเร็จ
  2. Right-click IP Helper > Start (หรือ Restart ถ้า Start แล้ว)แก้ไข: Cumulative Update December 2020 (KB4592438) ติดตั้งไม่สำเร็จ
  3. Start/Restart Windows Management Instrumentation > ลองอัปเดตใหม่แก้ไข: Cumulative Update December 2020 (KB4592438) ติดตั้งไม่สำเร็จ

วิธี 2: ใช้ Offline Installer ของ KB4592438

หากเป็น Communication Glitch ระหว่างระบบกับ Update Servers ให้ใช้ Offline Installer:

  1. เปิด Browser ไปที่ Windows Catalogue KB4592438
  2. ดาวน์โหลด EXE File ตาม OS และ Architectureแก้ไข: Cumulative Update December 2020 (KB4592438) ติดตั้งไม่สำเร็จ
  3. Run ไฟล์ที่ดาวน์โหลดด้วย Admin Privileges ตามขั้นตอนบนหน้าจอ

วิธี 3: ใช้ Command Prompt

Windows Update ขึ้นกับหลาย Dependency หาก Corrupt/Error ให้ใช้ CMD รีเซ็ต:

  1. เปิด Command Prompt (Admin)แก้ไข: Cumulative Update December 2020 (KB4592438) ติดตั้งไม่สำเร็จ
  2. รันคำสั่งทีละบรรทัด (กด Enter ทุกคำสั่ง): 
    net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptSvc
net stop bits
net stop msiserver
Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
Ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old
net start wuauserv
net start cryptSvc
net start bits
net start msiserver
    แก้ไข: Cumulative Update December 2020 (KB4592438) ติดตั้งไม่สำเร็จ
  3. หากบางคำสั่ง Fail ให้ข้ามไป > Exit CMD
  4. ลองอัปเดตใหม่

วิธี 4: ล้าง Temp Files และขยายพื้นที่ Disk

พื้นที่ไม่พอ = ติดตั้งไม่ได้ ให้ล้าง Temp และ Disk Cleanup:

  1. Clear Temp Files & Disk Cleanup System Drive
  2. ตรวจ System Drive และ Temp Folder Drive (หากย้าย Temp ไป Disk อื่น) ว่ามีพื้นที่พอ
  3. ลองอัปเดตใหม่
  4. หายังไม่ได้ ลอง SFC และ DISM Commands

วิธี 5: Perform In-Place Upgrade

หากทุกวิธีล้มเหลว ให้ In-Place Upgrade (เลือก Keep Files and Applications) บางกรณี 20H2 Enablement Package บล็อกตัวเลือกนี้ ให้ Uninstall 20H2 Enablement Package ก่อน:

  1. Create System Restore Point
  2. Win Key > Settings > Update & Security > View Update Historyแก้ไข: Cumulative Update December 2020 (KB4592438) ติดตั้งไม่สำเร็จ
  3. Uninstall Updates > เลือก 20H2 Enablement Packageแก้ไข: Cumulative Update December 2020 (KB4592438) ติดตั้งไม่สำเร็จ
  4. Uninstall > Follow Promptsแก้ไข: Cumulative Update December 2020 (KB4592438) ติดตั้งไม่สำเร็จ
  5. Browser > Microsoft Windows 10 Page > Download Tool Now (Create Windows 10 Installation Media)แก้ไข: Cumulative Update December 2020 (KB4592438) ติดตั้งไม่สำเร็จ
  6. Run Tool (Admin) > Accept Licenseแก้ไข: Cumulative Update December 2020 (KB4592438) ติดตั้งไม่สำเร็จ
  7. Select Upgrade This PC Now > Follow Promptsแก้ไข: Cumulative Update December 2020 (KB4592438) ติดตั้งไม่สำเร็จ
  8. หายังไม่ได้: ทำซ้ำ 1-4 แต่ขั้น 4 เลือก Installation Media for Another PCแก้ไข: Cumulative Update December 2020 (KB4592438) ติดตั้งไม่สำเร็จ
  9. Select ISO File > Wait Downloadแก้ไข: Cumulative Update December 2020 (KB4592438) ติดตั้งไม่สำเร็จ
  10. Extract ISO > Run Setup.exe (Admin)แก้ไข: Cumulative Update December 2020 (KB4592438) ติดตั้งไม่สำเร็จ
  11. Follow Prompts

หายังไม่ได้: สร้าง Bootable USB จาก ISO ลอง Upgrade ผ่าน USB หา In-Place Upgrade Fail: Clean Install Windows หรือ Disable Update (ไม่แนะนำ) หา Clean Install ไม่ได้: ลองติดตั้ง Windows บน Hard Drive อื่น (อาจเป็น Hardware Compatibility)
