4 วิธีแก้ Windows Update Error 0x800706d9

เตรียม: สร้าง Restore Point

1. เปิด Windows Firewall ผ่าน Control Panel

  1. Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Firewall
  2. ซ้าย: Turn Windows Firewall on or off
  3. เลือก Turn On Windows Firewall (ทั้ง Private/Public) > OK > Reboot

2. ตรวจสอบ/เริ่ม Windows Firewall และ Windows Update Services

  1. Win+R services.msc
  2. หา 2 Services: Windows Update, Windows Firewall
  3. แต่ละตัว: Double-click > Startup Type = Automatic > หยุดอยู่ให้ Start > Apply/OK
  4. Reboot

3. รัน Windows Update Troubleshooter

  1. Control Panel > Troubleshooting > View all > Windows Update
  2. Advanced > Apply repairs automatically > Next > Reboot

4. เปลี่ยนชื่อ SoftwareDistribution Folder (Reset Update Components)

  1. Command Prompt (Admin) > หยุด Services: 
    net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptSvc
net stop bits
net stop msiserver
  2. Rename: 
    ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 catroot2.old
  3. เริ่ม Services: 
    net start wuauserv
net start cryptSvc
net start bits
net start msiserver
  4. Reboot

Error 0x800706d9 มักแก้ได้ด้วยวิธี 1 หรือ 2 เพราะ Firewall Service ถูกปิดโดยซอฟต์แวร์ความปลอดภัยหรือ User เองครับ
