วิธีแก้ 0x0000007F BSOD (Blue Screen of Death)

0x0000007F BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) รายงานว่าปรากฏแบบสุ่ม ไม่มี Trigger ชัดเจน ปัญหานี้รายงานเฉพาะ Windows 7, Windows 8.1, และ Windows Server

มีหลายสาเหตุที่อาจก่อให้เกิด BSOD นี้:

• Looping iaStor.sys Kernel File - สาเหตุทั่วไปที่สุด คือ Kernel File ชื่อ iaStor.sys วนลูป ไฟล์นี้เกี่ยวกับ IDE/ADA/ATAPI Drivers อาจก่อให้เกิด BSOD ไม่คาดคิด หาก Drive ส่วนตัวเสียหาย/ติดตั้งผิด หากเป็นกรณีนี้ ให้แก้ด้วย Device Manager Uninstall IDE ATA และ ATAPI Controller ทุกตัว เพื่อบังคับให้ OS Reinstall Generic Equivalents
• 3rd Party AV Overprotective - สาเหตุอีกอย่างคือการกระทำ Overprotective ของ 3rd Party Antivirus Suite ตัวที่พบบ่อยคือ McAfee Internet Security ลองปิด Real-time Protection หรือ Uninstall 3rd Party AV
• Temperature Spike จาก HP Utility - HP Laptop/Desktop อาจ Bloated ด้วย 2 Utilities: HP Credential Manager และ HP Protect Tools Security Manager Suite ซึ่งเป็น Memory Hogs และ Spike CPU Temp เกิน 20°C ก่อให้เกิด BSOD ให้ Uninstall แอปที่มีปัญหา
• Insufficient Kernel Space - หากใช้ Symantec หรือ Norton AV น่าจะเป็น Kernel Space ไม่พอประมวลผล Kernel Drivers ให้ขยาย Kernel Space โดย Registry Editor สร้าง KstackMinFree Key
• System File Corruption - บางกรณี ปัญหาจาก System File Corruption ลึก ที่แก้ Conventional ไม่ได้ ให้ Reset ทุก Windows Component ด้วย Clean Install หรือ Repair Install

วิธีที่ 1: Uninstall IDE/ADA/ATAPI Controllers

สาเหตุทั่วไปคือ Looping iaStor.sys File ก่อให้เกิด Critical Crash เกิดจาก Inconsistency ของ IDE/ATA/ATAPI Controllers

หากเป็นกรณีนี้ ให้แก้ด้วย Device Manager Uninstall IDE, ATA, ATAPI Drivers ทุกตัว บังคับให้ OS ติดตั้ง Generic Equivalents ผู้ใช้หลายรายรายงาน BSOD หยุดหลัง Uninstall Dedicated Drivers

1. Windows key + R เปิด Run Dialog พิมพ์ devmgmt.msc Enter เปิด Device Manager UAC คลิก Yes
   
2. ใน Device Manager Scroll ลง ขยาย Dropdown IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers
3. ใน IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers Uninstall ทุก Controller โดย Right-click แต่ละตัว > Uninstall device
   
4. Uninstall ทุก Item ใต้ IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller Restart คอมพิวเตอร์ ตอน Startup ถัดไป OS จะติดตั้ง Generic Drivers ควรไม่เจอ 0x0000007F BSOD อีก

หากยังมีปัญหาเดิม ไปวิธีต่อไป

วิธีที่ 2: ปิด/Uninstall 3rd Party AV (ถ้าเกี่ยวข้อง)

มี 3rd Party AV Suites หลายตัวที่ Overprotective บล็อก Kernel Process สำคัญจาก False Positive ก่อให้เกิด 0x0000007F BSOD พบบ่อยกับ McAfee Internet Security แต่อื่นๆ อาจก่อให้เกิดพฤติกรรมเดียวกัน

หากเป็นกรณีนี้ ให้แก้โดย Disable Real-time Protection หรือ Uninstall 3rd Party Suite ทั้งหมด

เริ่มง่ายๆ: Disable Real-time Protection ดูว่า BSOD หยุดไหม ขั้นตอนต่างกันตาม Suite แต่ส่วนใหญ่ทำได้จาก Taskbar Icon

Disable Real-time Protection แล้ว Monitor ดู BSOD กลับมาหรือไม่ หากกลับมา และ AV มี Firewall Component กฎความปลอดภัยอาจยังคงอยู่แม้ปิด Real-time Protection

กรณีนี้ วิธีเดียวคือ Uninstall 3rd Party AV Suite ทั้งหมด ดู BSOD หยุดไหม คู่มือเร็ว:

1. Windows key + R พิมพ์ appwiz.cpl Enter เปิด Programs and Features
   
2. ใน Programs and Features Scroll หา 3rd Party Security Suite ที่จะ Uninstall
3. Right-click เลือก Uninstall
   
4. ในหน้าจอ Uninstall ตาม Prompt จนเสร็จ Restart
5. Monitor ดู 0x0000007F BSOD ยังมีหรือไม่

หากยังมีปัญหา ไปวิธีต่อไป

วิธีที่ 3: Uninstall HP Credentials Manager (ถ้าเกี่ยวข้อง)

หากใช้ HP Laptop/Device และเคยติดตั้ง HP Credentials Manager หรือ HP Protect Tools Security Manager Suite โอกาสสูงที่ BSOD เกิดจาก CPU/GPU Temperature สูงผิดปกติ

ทั้ง 2 Suite พัฒนาโดย HP จริง แต่เป็น Memory Hogs รู้จักก่อให้เกิด Temperature Spikes มาก (โดยเฉพาะ CPU รุ่นเก่า) มี Case ที่ Hog CPU 50%+ และเพิ่มอุณหภูมิ 20+ องศา

หากเป็นกรณีนี้ ให้ Uninstall HP Credentials Manager หรือ HP Protect Tool Security Manager Suite (ขึ้นกับที่ติดตั้ง)

หมายเหตุ: ทั้ง 2 Tools ไม่ได้ Essential ทำงาน Credential Manager มี Native ใน Windows แล้ว HP Protect Tool Security Manager Suite ต่ำกว่า Windows Defender และเป็น Memory Hogger

1. Windows key + R พิมพ์ appwiz.cpl Enter เปิด Programs and Features
   
2. Scroll หา HP Credential Manager หรือ HP Protect Tool Security Manager Suite
3. Right-click เลือก Uninstall เริ่ม Uninstall
   
4. ในหน้าจอ Uninstall ตามคำแนะนำจนเสร็จ
5. Restart ดูว่าปัญหาแก้แล้ว

หากยังมีปัญหา ไปวิธีต่อไป

วิธีที่ 4: เพิ่มค่า KStackMinFree (ถ้าเกี่ยวข้อง)

หากเจอ Error ตอนรัน Symantec Antivirus หรือ Norton Antivirus น่าจะเป็น Kernel Space ไม่พอประมวลผล Kernel-mode Drivers

ตอน Symantec Scan หรือตรวจสอบไฟล์ จะ Request File Access จากระบบ ตามเวลา Request เหล่านี้สะสม Kernel Space จนเต็มเกินทำงานไม่ได้

หากเป็นกรณีนี้ ให้แก้ด้วย Registry Editor เพิ่ม KStackMinFree Value ใน Registry ค่านี้ระบุ Minimum Kernel Space ที่ต้องมีสำหรับ Symantec/Norton Real-time Protection Request File Access

หากใช้ Suite เหล่านี้ ทำตามนี้เพื่อสร้าง KStackMinFree และแก้ 0x0000007F BSOD:

1. Windows key + R พิมพ์ regedit Enter เปิด Registry Editor
   
2. UAC คลิก Yes ให้ Admin Privileges
3. ไปที่:

   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\AV\Storages\Filesystem\RealTimeScan

   (Copy วางใน Navigation Bar Enter ได้เลย)
4. เลือก RealTimeScan ไปขวา คลิกขวา Empty Space > New > DWORD Value
   
5. ตั้งชื่อ KStackMinFree Enter Save Right-click > Modify
6. ใน Edit Dword (32-bit) Value ตั้ง Base = Hexadecimal Value data = 2200 OK
   
7. Save Changes Restart คอมพิวเตอร์
8. Monitor ดูปัญหายังมีหรือไม่

หากยังมีปัญหา ไปวิธีสุดท้าย

วิธีที่ 5: บังคับ Repair Install

หากวิธีข้างต้นไม่ได้ น่าจะเป็น System File Corruption ลึก ที่แก้ Conventional ไม่ได้ ให้ Reset ทุก Windows Component ให้แน่ใจว่าไม่มี Corrupted OS Files ก่อให้เกิด BSOD

มี 2 ทางเลือก:

• Repair Install (In-place Repair) - วิธีแนะนำ หากมี Windows Installation Media ที่เข้ากันได้ Reset ทุก Component โดยไม่ลบ Personal Files ยังเก็บ Applications, Games, User Preferences บางอย่าง
• Clean Install (In-place Reinstall) - วิธีง่ายกว่า ไม่ต้อง Installation Media Deploy จาก GUI Windows ได้ แต่ถ้าไม่ Backup Data ล่วงหน้า เสี่ยงสูญเสีย Personal Files, Games, Apps บน OS Drive
