แก้ปัญหา File Explorer Search ไม่ทำงานใน Windows 10

แก้ File Explorer Search Not Working ใน Windows 10: ค้นหาไฟล์/โฟลเดอร์ใน File Explorer แล้วไม่เจอผลลัพธ์ แม้แน่ใจว่ามีอยู่จริง Search feature ทำงานไม่ได้ ไม่มีไอเทมตรงกับคำค้นหา แม้แอพพื้นฐานอย่าง Calculator หรือ Word ก็ค้นไม่เจอ ทำให้ต้องหาเองด้วยมือ รบกวนมาก

สาเหตุหลัก: Indexing issues, Index database เสียหาย, หรือ Search service ไม่ได้รัน

วิธีแก้ File Explorer Search Not Working ใน Windows 10

สร้าง Restore Point ก่อนเพื่อความปลอดภัย

วิธีที่ 1: หยุดกระบวนการ Cortana

  1. Ctrl + Shift + Esc เปิด Task Manager
  2. หา Cortana > คลิกขวา > End Task
  3. จะ restart Cortana อัตโนมัติ ควรแก้ปัญหาได้ หายังทำต่อ

วิธีที่ 2: รีสตาร์ท Windows Search Service

  1. Windows Key + R > services.msc Enter
  2. หา Windows Search service > คลิกขวา > Properties
  3. Startup type = Automatic หาไม่รัน > คลิก Run
  4. Apply > OK > Reboot

วิธีที่ 3: รัน Search and Indexing Troubleshooter

  1. Windows Key + I > Settings > Update & Security
  2. เมนูซ้าย Troubleshoot > ใต้ "Find and fix other problems" คลิก Search and Indexing
  3. คลิก Run the troubleshooter
  4. ติ๊ก Files don't appear in search results > Next
  5. Troubleshooter จะแก้อัตโนมัติ

ทางเลือก: Control Panel > Troubleshooting > View all > Troubleshooter for Search and Indexing

วิธีที่ 4: ค้นหาเนื้อหาในไฟล์ (Search File Contents)

  1. Windows Key + E > File Explorer > View > Options
  2. แท็บ Search > ติ๊ก Always Search File Names and Contents ใต้ "When searching non-indexed locations"
  3. Apply > OK > Reboot

วิธีที่ 5: Rebuild Windows Search Index

  1. ค้นหา "indexing options" > เปิด Indexing Options
  2. คลิก Advanced ปลายหน้าต่าง
  3. แท็บ File Types > ติ๊ก Index Properties and File Contents
  4. OK > เปิด Advanced อีกครั้ง
  5. แท็บ Index Settings > คลิก Rebuild ใต้ Troubleshooting
  6. รอ Indexing เสร็จ (นานสักครู่) Search จะทำงานปกติ

วิธีที่ 6: เพิ่ม System Permission ให้ไฟล์/โฟลเดอร์

  1. คลิกขวาไฟล์/โฟลเดอร์ > Properties > แท็บ Security
  2. SYSTEM ต้องอยู่ใน Group/user names พร้อม Full Control หาไม่เจอ > Advanced
  3. Add > Select a principal > Advanced > Find Now > เลือก SYSTEM > OK
  4. ยืนยัน SYSTEM เพิ่มแล้ว > OK > ติ๊ก Full Control และ "Only apply these permissions to objects and/or containers within this container" > OK
  5. Apply > OK

วิธีที่ 7: Re-register Cortana

  1. ค้นหา Powershell > คลิกขวา > Run as Administrator
  2. หาไม่เจอ: Windows Key + R > C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0 Enter > คลิกขวา powershell.exe > Run as Administrator
  3. รันคำสั่ง: 
    Get-AppXPackage -Name Microsoft.Windows.Cortana | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
  4. รอเสร็จ Reboot

วิธีที่ 8: เปลี่ยน Default Apps by Protocol

  1. Windows Key + I > Settings > Apps
  2. เมนูซ้าย Default apps > ขวา Choose default apps by protocol
  3. หา SEARCH ต้องเป็น Windows Explorer
  4. ไม่ใช่ คลิกโปรแกรมปัจจุบัน > เลือก Windows Explorer

วิธีที่ 9: สร้าง Administrator User Account ใหม่

  1. Settings > Accounts > Family & other people > Add someone else to this PC
  2. I don't have this person's sign-in information > Add a user without a Microsoft account
  3. ตั้ง username/password > Next
  4. กลับ Accounts > Change account type > เปลี่ยนเป็น Administrator
  5. Sign in เข้า Account ใหม่ ไปที่: C:\Users\Your_Old_User_Account\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.Cortana_cw5n1h2txyewy (แสดง hidden files)
  6. ลบหรือ Rename โฟลเดอร์ Microsoft.Windows.Cortana_cw5n1h2txyewy
  7. Reboot Sign in Account เก่า
  8. PowerShell รัน: 
    Add-AppxPackage -Path "C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.Windows.Cortana_cw5n1h2txyewy\Appxmanifest.xml" -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register
  9. Restart เสร็จสิ้น

วิธีที่ 10: อนุญาตให้ Disk ถูก Indexed

  1. คลิกขวาไดรฟ์ที่ค้นไม่เจอ > ติ๊ก Allow indexing service to index this disk for fast file searching
  2. Apply > OK > Reboot

วิธีที่ 11: รัน DISM ซ่อม Windows Files ที่เสียหาย

  1. เปิด CMD Admin
  2. รัน: DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth (รอ 15-20 นาที)
  3. ไม่ได้ลองคำสั่งสำรอง
  4. รันต่อ: sfc /scannow > Restart
